Building a war chest for a big fish this season or next?

I like your thinking Wink We need speed... Bradley Hill? Very Happy

Don't pay overs for mids, unless their absolute elite like Judd, or is the final piece of the flag contending puzzle. You can draft a mid and within a year contributing well to the team.

Key Position player please, preferably a forward.

Dangerfield is elite.

The perfect Swan replacement.

One can dream and hope.

When's Dangerfield's contract up?

Would also love him at the Pies (who wouldn't though really.)

He is eligible for F/A at the end of next season.

Plenty will be after him but you expect Adelaide will offer plenty to keep him and he'll stay.

If we want him we need to be in his ear already and get him to hold off re-signing till we can put together our best offer next year.

I'm a big fan of the Sack, but $400k pa intuitively seems overs.

Now, if someone laid out our current contracts for me in a spreadsheet so I could compare, I may change my mind, I may not.

The Club will have in mind what they're willing to pay and won't jeapordise anything by going over, but I wouldn't like to see him playing elsewhere.

Nail-bang-head.

We'd be insane to match that offer, good honest battlers aren't worth 400k.

+1

We over value our players in trade talk, but undervalue them when it comes to pay them.

WTF!!!!

If it came to it, we should trade Toovey and keep Goldsack. Not much between them defensively, but Goldsack is more flexible.

How can port afford to pay more than us? Cannot understand that.

WTF!!!!

If you reckon a bloke who has barely averaged 11 disposals per game for his entire career is worth 400K then you're more generous than most.

He's an average player and the average wage for an AFL player is about 260K which is about what he is worth.

but if it comes to trading, we think he's worth Gunston and Breust.

If he's worth $260,000, then he's worth a 3rd round draft pick.

He wouldn't know. He's been 20 metres behind Gunston all night.
F*ck off to Port already.

Sounds about right.

Tonight confirms he's worth a late second or 3rd round pick.

I'd be happy to offload Goldsack AND Blair for a late round 2 pick.
