Well done! You endear yourself to the Nick's community with every posting.

Thank goodness; a voice of reason. Goldy is infinitely more value to the team than Fasolo.
This thread has brought out more dim-witted trolls than I thought possible. Honestly, where are these drongos coming from? They're even making Defender seem considered and rational. Four or five of you have just nominated yourselves for Nick's Turkey of the Year Award. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

Despite reports to the contrary, Port Adelaide has no interest in Magpie free agent Tyson Goldsack. A case of right state, wrong club? #AFL |

I like the SACK and hope he stays, but hes always struck me as a spare parts guy, used to fill holes and plug things, good honest trier, but is he worth the dough Port offer ?? I don't know, he must think of himself of course, in footy age hes getting on. Put it this way, id be a lot more upset if it was Sidey, I just don't think Goldy is irreplaceable. A nice guy though. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Don't worry, if it were Sidebottom, they'd pay whatever they need to keep him. |

He and Goldsack have both performed at about the same level.
Is young overpaid? |
Yep, dropping a season-defining chest mark 15 m out from goal is only worth $350k in today's market _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

See this is why I hate free agency. We're set to lose more experience on top of Ball, Lynch and Hudson retiring, and how many other players go as hard at the ball and the man as Goldy? I really really hope we can do a deal but I'm betting the money we pay players like Cloke means that we can't stretch the salary cap. _________________ A Pie for Life. |

Seriously why wouldn't you give someone like Goldy 3 years especially with how we are at the moment. Our next big defender has gone with a knee, Goldy has versatility and gives it his all every time.
I am perplexed with CFC at the moment, first Ball shown the door and now they want commit to Goldy. This club is losing me and others very fast. |
Have to agree with you. With all the injuries, especially to our defence this year, but now players like Cloke and Young have gone down as well, why are we not trying to secure a versatile player like Goldy? I was scratching my head over the Ball decision but apparently he needs surgery on his back to continue so won't have a full preseason. I think we should be looking for defenders and forwards, considering that's where all long term injuries are. So why not hold onto Goldy since he can play both ends? _________________ A Pie for Life. |
