It wasn't those words or the text it was how he was saying it & his choice of words (or subtext).
That is, things like "spoke to Bucks", "a lot of young players doing well". "There comes a time in every footy players..."
to me strongly indicate that he was advised the writing was on the wall. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

It doesn't say he was pushed Dave. Sounds like a mutually agreed decision and probably the correct call.
What a champ! He came over from St.Schoolgirl and immediately became one of our favourites. Thank you Luke Ball: Collingwood Premiership player. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

Well Bucks Did not Push Him out but Ball did know which way Bucks is looking at.
You could tell that at his Presser after GWS Win _________________ I am Da Man |

Thank You Luke Ball for your time at the pies and 2010
Mark Robinson saying on Sen that he was at Luke Balls house on Tuesday night , and that Luke didn't know that he would be retiring tomorrow night.
Hes going to tell all after 6pm
Looks like he was told to retire

All the best Bally.
A true Collingwood immortal.
Would not of won 2010 without him and Jolly, and would not of got into the 2011 GF without his great snap goal in the dying minutes.
His manic pressure and attack on the ball will be sorely missed.
All the best to a true professional. |

Sad. Really wanted Bally to get to 100 games, and so did he. Champion bloke, the club will be worse for wear without him. |

Was in my office with Pies 08 the morning we drafted Luke Ball. Our premiership celebrations started that day. A true legend of the game, all class on and off the field! Congrats on a wonderful career! Well done to Bally too! _________________ "If it wasn't for Dave O'D, I wouldn't have kicked half my goals!" Dick Lee |
