All respect to a premiership hero. Thank you for what you have done for our club and the manner in which you have represented your fellow players.

Magpie legend - without him and Jols, 2010 wouldn't have been all it was.
Thanks for everything and I hope there's a black and white coaching polo in your future. |

Admire the man immensely. Thanks Bally. |
Clearly pushed, Bucks seems to think we have an abundance of leaders at the Club :/
On top of being a Champion player Luke is a top bloke irl.
Thanks heaps for everything mate. |

Thank you Luke Ball for your tenacity, skills and leadership and our 2010 Premiership.
Definitely going to miss seeing him after a game all bloody and bruised. He always put 100% into everything. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

NOOOOOOO!!!!
A tragedy. The diagonal-tackling Demented Panther leaves the centre square for the last time. He goes out a Collingwood legend. |

Riddle.....So who was the last premiership playing St Kilda Captain?
Answer...... Luke Ball.
Wonderful player, great bloke, sad to see him go, loved how he went about it. Played a massive part in bringing a premiership to collingwood. Good luck for the future, I'm sure he will have a great future behind the scenes in football. |

Was told he'd have limited opportunities next season so i guess that swayed his decision to retire on top of his back surgery.
Seems a bit odd to me given our lack of experienced leadership at the club.
Just hope we don't hear any excuses of having a "young list" should our season go to shite next year when we aren't exactly knocking down doors to keep players with the calibre of Ball on our list for another season at least.
Anyway thanks Luke, we wouldn't have won the flag without you.
All the best in your future endeavours. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

If so it just speaks even more volumes about the dignity of the bloke. Team first, unlike some. Win lose or draw I hope the effort tomorrow night by the boys is befitting of this champion. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'
