These are the whispers doing the rounds. According to Roosy everyone is tradeable and with Watts' currency dipping this seems a fair arrangement for both. We lose a hero whose quick and has got 75 football matches left in him but dodgey disposal and ball handling skills.

We can secure a 196cm fast and excellent disposer who lacks urgency and devil! However, with the number 1 trade tag removed we may have a 24 year old with 175 games of elite footy left in him.

I know a lot are down on Watts, but he is exactly the type of player we need down back.

What? A soft footballer with no urgency?

I'm not anti Watts but he is a flawed player, you do know however what his worst footy will deliver, you also understand he has some skill and could potentially improve in the right environment.

Would recruiting him see us with an over supply of hot and cold 190cm plus types with Karnezis, White, Marsh and Gault already on the list? How many of them could you play in any given game?

Adding our 2nd round also might be paying overs, maybe swap our 2nd for their 3rd.

Probably prefer to look at some of the GWS kids who are rumored to want out.

He'll still be 23 when the season starts.

He's played 100 games. (95 - close enough)

He played 22 games this year.

He had at least one tackle in every game.

He took eleven marks and kicked three goals in their win against Richmond.

He's 196cm and 88kgs which could be well into the 90s by February.

He's a bit broken but it's possible that he can be fixed.

Imagine if he ended up realising his potential.

Worth a crack I reckkon

Watts isn't hot and cold. He's a consistent sweeping backman who reads the play very well. He takes Maxwell's role and is a definite upgrade on our former captain. He's a better get for us than Frawley would be.

On that basis 5150 are you moving the "what to get for Lumumba thread" and all other trade type threads in this section??

Watts' best statistical game to date was a 18 kick, 16 handball, 11 mark performance in a 101 point beating at the hands of Sydney in 2012.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have your best footy contribute to a sixteen goal arse-raping?

Kid deserves a fresh start

Very unlikely. I do wonder on some posters grasp on reality on this forum when it comes to trade time.

I have to ask why would Paul Roos with his smarts agree to trade Watts, a number one draft pick still developing his game, for essentially a 27 year back-man and brand-name who may or may not perform?

Harry has achieved a hell of a lot more than Watts has in his career and his best football has been far better than what Watts has shown to date.

Take away the fact he was drafted with a No.1 draft pick and all you're left with is an average soft footballer.

I can't believe he stands 196cm and only weighs 88kgs.

That's a problem right there as he's 15kg lighter than he should be.

If anything it's us who would be paying overs in any trade deal involving Harry for Watts.

Harry had a better season than Watts.

His best demonstrated football is better.

I think Roos would be disappointed that his special brand of yoga, aromatherapy and herbal teas haven't healed Jack.

He gets a spiritual brother and loses a problem.

A late 2nd round is about right to balance out the age difference

Ah I see. Buckley will probably want him then. Laughing

The mind boggles.

Watts is well, I can't even be bothered.

On the bright side, if we recruit him there's still hope for my 45 yr old ass.
