Obviously we've had a few injuries recently (and yes before...)... but do you guys think a few of them might now just be an indication of our staff's thoughts towards just 'Tanking it' since our chances are pretty much now toast anyway...

Right on the money Dave.
Wolf Boy, it doesn't matter whether we get Pick 1 or Pick 18, we are getting the same player anyway. OK, there is a chance we could pick Moore up with our second-round pick, but it's a very slim chance - word is that Moore will go top 5 unless we take him. So really, the only difference between up finishing 9th and (say) 14th is that our second-round pick would be slightly better - and with a second-round pick, who cares if it's 26 or 31?
In any case, if we wanted to lose games, all we need to do is pick our best available side. If effin' Brisbane can beat us by ten goals - which they just did - we don't need to tank. In our current shape we could nearly beat St Vomit and push Melbourne to the final quarter. 'Nuff said!

Is 'tanking' the same as 'losing'? If so we're tanking our brains out! Who would bet the farm on us against GWS? I'm tipping us to win, but I wouldn't put the Commodore on it!

No. We are going to play a few more kids this week against GWS.. It will be hard to judge character in the final game v Hawks (if 2-3 players debut). Really like to see something from Gault and Karnezis.

If a player we really like goes at pick 26 then yeah it makes a big difference if our next selection is pick 31.
Sometimes that's as little as it takes from getting your hands on a future star or missing out completely and is why if we end up having to use say pick 7 on Moore I'm ok with it as while we'll be paying about his worth without the father son rule we may have missed out altogether by a single selection or two.
