We should have kept Heath Shaw, brainfade or not. This year we are crying out for experienced players and paying the price for moving them on and in Shaw's case when there was little need to really. I regard the decision to release Heath Shaw as just one more Buckley brain fade.

Heater's smother would have to be in the top 5 all time greatest Collingwood football highlights.
Just brilliant.
Annoyed the crap out of me at times with his antics, and those kicks out on the full, but he always played his arse off. We have 16 senior players who should look at how Heath plays and think about their commitment to the game.

You know JW,I totally agree with you and I'm the one who probably changed the direction,but what really annoys me is that if your opinion differs with the no it all "Experts" you're somehow a "Banana"?? For no other reason than bemoaning the fact that Heath Shaw has left our and his ,beloved club.Get over it we're told and that's fine,but when you see your club falling off a cliff and we have our most recognisable supporter asking "Where has the passion gone?'' ,the question is open to a "Reasonable" grown up debate,which some people here,seem totally incapable of participating in unless it's to denigrate and belittle those who's opinions don't match theirs.
Some "supporters"?? give me the impression there isn't a player running around who is not only NOT good enough to wear black and white but are not good enough to play footy,so we'll rid ourselves of ALL of them and play some new kids.The president is no good,the coach is no good the footy club is no good and the footy ground is no good.80.000 members is no good.We ALL want to go back to Vic Park and we won't allow anyone other than Victorians into the ground. The answer to Joffa is 'NEGATIVITY". It's killing us. As people continue to rubbish others opinions,I'm sure the responses will come back in kind and probably in spades. This is how debates are are altered. Play the man when your intelligence fails you.
I'm guilty as charged for Stooping to the same level of name calling,but perhaps this isn't a forum for common sense debate and hissy fits and name calling are all that this place is good for.

| Lets not forget that if Heath wasn't such a time bomb exploding on and off the field every five minutes then he'd still be with us. He f***ed up his time and chances at the club - no one else did, nor did they have to. Heath was more than capable of doing that himself. Do I miss him... yes. His experience in the backline is exactly what we require right now but his constant tantrums, berating of team mates and f***ing up (see the elimination final 2013) was always going to come back to bit him on the arse. In saying that, I hold no grudges against him. He did play with passion and gave everything he could on the field. Never in the history of this great game will there ever be a smother so powerful and meaningful than his in the 2010 GF replay.
