What a hole Heath Shaw has left in our team. What a game he has played today.I wonder if the power brokers who were behind him leaving are now questioning their decision.

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

He will have a little smirk when they put us to the sword next week.

I hated to see him go. He was my favourite player. He will turn 29 in the offseason, though, so it was probably the right decision. Depends, I suppose, on whether the player we traded him for cements a place in the senior side for the long term.

Do what I do whenever I see Heater play a blinder from now on. Look at Taylor Adams' last game for us and think how he is going to be the grunt in our engine room for the next decade. He's going to play a pivotal role for us, as important as a player of Heath's stature running out of the back line. After I think of that game, it feels a little better.

I think he had to be moved on. Adams is a more important part of our team now anyway, given he's our only real option to replace Ball.

It was win/win. Adams is a 10 year inside mid. Shaw will have a career resurgence. Stop being bitter.

Spot On.

Very Similar for the Wayne Schwarse for Shannon Grant Trade

Moving on Shaw for Adams was probably symbolic of a team that was looking to future success more than short term returns.

Loved the way Shaw went about it - need a few senior guys to play with a similar passion this week if we are a chance to win.

As has been said (very) often, will be a good long term decision for the club and a postive opportunity for Heater. Win/win, move on.

But, but, if the player we traded ends up playing well that means the trade is bad no matter what!!

Why, oh why did we give away a 29 year old half back for a young inside mid who looks like he could spend the next decade as a very positive contributor at our football club Sad

Damn right, and let us not forget Heaths brain fade against Port last seasons final, threw the ball in a guys face, cost us a goal at a critical game time. I will always like him, but I don't miss him and his silly antics. no way. Rolling Eyes

It was a great trade. Adams will be a beauty.
Still miss Heater though. Brain fades and all. I know he could be a pain in the arse with his discipline, but he was always a favourite of mine. Would have loved him to play out his career with us.
