Watching and hearing the game vs. Freo on TV on Saturday night was a pretty good experience. Somehow we won the game - they tried harder to lose it! You guys (and girls) in the Cheer squad sounded really great over the air waves. I don't know where the TV wankers put their so-called "effects mikes", but wherever it was, they picked your voices up pretty well. Keep up the good work - ESPECIALLY WHEN WE'RE NOT GOING SO WELL.
And the gold wig -- what can I say?
PS Hope you've got something special in store for "Libba" now that he's discovered he's not on video and has decided to claim "self defence".
Go Pies and don't forget you guys are not just yelling your guts out because you love the Pies - you're doing it louder than normal for all those of us who can't be there to help you.

Thanks for the feed-back. I got home just in time to catch the last few minutes of the replay, and it was great to hear the chanting coming over the TV.

I firmly believe that going to the footy is a lot more fun if you're singing and chanting with other Collingwood supporters. On a good day it's a great sense of celebration. And on a bad day it can help to take a lot of the sting out of losing.

The gold wig was being worn (late in the match anyway) by none other than Joffa, himself. Earlier on he's been wearing a scream mask.

We really did barrack hard on Saturday night. And we're getting better all the time.

But mark my words:

WE'VE STILL GOT A LONG WAY TO GO TO BE A TRULY GREAT CHEER SQUAD.

I gave us 5 out of 10 at the Hawthorn match ... and maybe 6 and a half out of 10 at the Freo match.
Let's aim for a 7 or 8 next week. We'll need that, at least. Because the Scraggers' supporters are always very loud.

And remember ... those of us who are lucky enough to be able to get to the matches have gotta barrack even harder for the black and white army in places like Cairns, Darwin, Tasmania, London and anywhere else that people have got the good sense to barrack for Collingwood.

So ... to the 2 Pies Fans in Cairns ... probably the two thousand Pies fans in Cairns ... we luv yez all.
