Doesn't fit anywhere else, the scenario isn't odd, doesn't piss me off, doesn't make me happy or laugh (except in a semi ironic way) and isn't a WTF or anything.
Just a repeat of a scenario that I should be immune to by now, but still just can't shaking my head, giving a sigh and saying to myself "seriously? "
People's propensity to blame shift and in particular use blame as a means to escape scrutiny of their own shortcomings. An instance of a maybe pay error with a single employee (yet to be investigated) is suddenly a potential systemic issue that could have wide and serious ramifications. Wow, seriously? Could you wait for even a couple of facts before setting fires and trying to wind people up? Any danger of acknowledging that some of it may be the fault of your area? No?
Way to go there. That's how you role model as a senior manager.
other people who are also intelligent and educated who can't understand simple instructions and again, try to point blame at others because they have the observational and cognitive skills of a deaf and blind budgie.
See the column with the big bright heading saying "Type stuff here"? No? you missed that? The thing must be broken because it won't let you type stuff in places where I don't want you to type stuff and therefore it's all someone else's fault you can't do your job? Seriously?
I shakes me head, sigh and roll me eyes. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I'm reminded of a young Australian HR woman working for us in London who, in about 1997 when the internet was young and policies were few, had to discipline a young bloke for a fairly serious in-office porn habit. In fruity tones he noted that "you may have rules about that in Australia, but here in Britain we don't, and here, where there is no law, there's no crime ." Her rejoinder was along the lines of "we don't have rules that say you can't shit in the corner, either, which means that's not a crime, too. And that probably explains why your ancestors never made it to Australia". This is still celebrated as the "Australian prosecution" in our office to this day. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

hah. I actually used a similar line myself when I was challenged in a similar situation back in the 90's. When they tried to argue there was no specific rule that said they couldn't do X, I replied that there was also no rule that they couldn't swing naked from the light fittings, but I didn't recommend they try it

Yeah, sorry mate, I'm just a fkn grizzler.
Feel free to add you own tales of woe. Like that time your favourite goat was nibbling on the crotch of your undies, but you weren't wearing them at the time. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

If you could get the front part to taste like tuna and the back part to taste like a 9 volt battery, I'd buy two pairs. |
