a tonne of bricks just feel on me moments before writing
my 2 bobs worth for the week.
a grave faced eade said in his weekly injury report, brought
to you by blackmores. why would you by them because they
certainly don't work on our boys. but anyway I'm monologuing.
he said pendles copped a footy in the thigh area in the warm up
last week and so didn't play because of the resulting corky.
now thats what is concerning because isn't that what he's
exact words were when beams did his pre game warm up
injury last year? resulting in a long lay off.
if he plays great, if not gee we must have some bad kicks
because pendles sees just about everything on the footy field,
except i suppose the unorthodox mistakes. and do we take eades
word as gospel? i sure as hell don't!
will be interesting if he plays this week and next.

Even though we are losing and decimated by injury we are still hated and despised by other fans. Last night watching the Mangarook footy show, only one panellist picked us to win, gilbert mcadam, the rest all went for the Giants, and a big cheer and laughs all round went up when the last panellist the host, picked the giants. We are still loathed folks, no doubt about it, id love us to win and jamm it up that prick audience. !!

All 3 emergencies are playing reserves tonight so the sides going in as selected.
Surprised they didn't take one over just in case. Fingers crossed there's no warm up injuries ala last week otherwise we'll be a man down with no way of covering for them. |

Yeah just thought they may have pulled one out as a spare for tomorrow if Pendles didn't come up or another player got a football kicked into their nuts in the warm up or whatever.
Probably being over superstitious but considering the way we're going... |

Staggering that we haven't held one player over as an emergency.
Even more so when we're playing interstate.
That was always standard practice for as long as I can remember.

if you're a collingwood supporter, that's all i care about. treat this shit season the way that helps you cope with it the best.
for me, i actually sit there and laught at the tv every weekend. doesn't mean i hate the team, i just prefer to laugh at how bad we are these days. beats yelling and screaming or placing myself in denial. |
Correction FWIW....
"perceptive fellow" = people, with hidden agendas and needs to see the coach fail dismally, eternally complaining about how shit we were at the start of the season and at the moment. Not listening to or comprehending many posters who have painstakingly, logically and rationally explained the reasons behind the slump. It meets their needs for the club and coach to fail, as it somehow confirms, validates and reinforces their perpetually pessimistic views.
'proper supporters' = people saying don't worry how shit we are at the moment, it'll all be ok soon. Giving logical and rational reasons for the current plight and intelligently debating issues with "perceptive fellow" who don’t WANT to listen because (as others have said) they are mainly bloody trolls. And most reasonable posters here hate frigging trolls....   |
Leonmagic gets it right but then "Mr Collingwood" speaks. Can't stand any view but his own. Totally unable to accept any opinion other than his own.

it would appear we are now, the season from hell with injuries, just hope we can get it all over with this year, reboot for next injury free.

Really? I always thought the standard practice for away matches was to throw a tenner on the bar and say "any youse bastards fit size nine boots and can play full back f'us 'sarvo?"
