Post subject: The players on the rookie list. | |
|
Kyle Martin. (Upgraded for N Brown). You'd expect him to be kept on the senior list next year, but other clubs have had a sniff.
Jack Frost. (Upgraded for B Hudson). 100% to be kept on the senior list going into 2015.
But these three raise some questions:
1. Peter Yagmoor.
2. Corey Gault.
3. Caolan Mooney.
1. I'm expecting that Yagmoor's chances have dried up and wont be around Collingwood in 2015.
Is he any chance of being picked up by another club in the upcoming rookie draft?
2. Gault was re-rookied in the last draft. I'm not too sure on the details, but I was of the belief that he was promised his spot in the RD (along with Jake Kelly, amongst others, but with the availability of Landgon and Marsh so late, the club used the ND picks and therefore used the spots on the list).
So in a way, Gault was kept in favour over a few other players, and broken promises. How has he travelled in the VFL this year? Will he be kept going into 2015, or has his opportunities also been lost?
3. This one is an interesting call. Mooney's in his third year on the rookie list. And he's managed 6 senior games in 2012-13.
I've always liked what I've seen from him in the VFL and he's pacey as heck. But a call has to be made. Will he make his way onto the senior list or to another club? Or could he be on his way home to Ireland? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Never have been one of Gault's fans, but his past month or so has swung me in favour of giving him at least another year on the rookie list.
Mooney is 50/50 for mine.
Yagmoor I think is probably gone. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Was Gault on the senior list last season?
If so he can go around again I assume as a rookie, if not then he needs to be drafted on to the senior list I guess.
This is Mooney's third year on the international rookie list so he has to be drafted to the senior list at the end of the year to be retained or face being delisted.
Yagmoor has never really developed beyond being a VFL level player.
Sad as he has some attributes but has never really developed since being awarded a senior debut in round 1 of season 2012.
P.S-How come Yagnmoor's been able to last 3 years on our rookie list?
I thought 2 was the maximum outside internationals etc. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

With a VFL final on Saturday, it'll be interesting to see what these players will do. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

both Yagmoor and gault started on the main list, were delisted and rookied. Gault has done 1 year as a rookie so can go again, Yagmoor has (I think) done 2. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

That's right.
The maximum is 3 years, so Yagmoor could be re-contracted for 2015 and Gault could theoretically stay on the rookie list until the end of 2016, it that's how we wanted to proceed... |
