Post subject: Rumor: Eddie McGuire wants Michael Voss in 2014 | |
|
Have heard it from a few people. If Michael Voss doesn't get a call up from anywhere next year, Eddie McGuire is going to get him to work alongside Nathan Buckley as an assistant. _________________ Ben Maughan

I agree that Bucks needs better assistants, but just don't know if Voss and Buckley would work well together given their history. |

Voss might be keen to get out of Brisvegas for a change of scenery, but come to Collingwood? I don't think it would work. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

Seems to be a capable senior coach so if you can get him as an assistant then sure why not. Bring back Neeld as well and suddenly you've got one of the best coaching panel credentials going around.
That said, it depends on the stories of a player revolt being bullshit, because you don't want that kind of personality at a club and also his relationship with Buckley. It certainly wasn't great from all reports but maybe they've both matured.
Just keep crazy Vossy away from any trade deals. |

Voss would be better than Harvey as midfield coach.
How about we give Eddie to the Brions free? He can lift their profile up there. |

^^^ Not sure about that Wokko - there are probably still plenty of Nicksters who favour giving Brendan Fevola a contract. As we know, Voss is just the man to do it. He might have to trade out, say, Pendlebury, Swan, Sidebottom and Grundy - but, hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. |

Yes that's Eddie's approach. Let go coaches with a proven track record of winning flags, such as Malthouse and Balme and replace them with Eade and Voss who have never won flags as coaches. It is any wonder we can't beat the arrogant vermin Hawthorn.
Where is Voss's demonstrated success as a coach? _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

Someone needs to clean the toilets. Voss has a good eye for identifying crap, so he's well qualified for the job. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

BALME never won a flag, played in a couple but he never coached a premiership team.
Voss would have to be better than Lappin for sure. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Would be interesting... but won't happen.
Who goes?
Eade?
Surely Eade's current position wouldn't suit Voss. |
