As I said the younger guys have probably gone past him anyway, and they all have scope for improvement.

Need to see what Martin offers over a 3 to 4 week block, need to persist with Broomhead and Kennedy in the 21, hope that Seedsman can up his output and pray that Reid can quickly find form up forward.

I'm willing to call time on Ball, he hasn't been great this year and he's not going to be around for our next tilt, better off developing the younger guys IMO, and truth be told they may have gone past him anyway.

Shit, quoted the wrong post, post was directed at An Inkling (AKA muppet) Twisted Evil

I have to agree. I don't usual post negative stuff about any of our players, but for quite a while this year I've been saying Ball should hang up his boots. Adams has shot past him as our designated in and under midfielder and Ball is just too slow to play anywhere else. He's been a warrior for sure, so I don't mean him any disrespect, but time catches up with everyone and Luke's time is up.

Ok, so you agree with me then? Where we have players outside of the team who are better than the young players in the team, they should play? You just disagree that Ball is one of them.

Yeah pretty much, but even the Fas has to show he can withstand regular football, he needs to own the VFL before being selected IMO, he's had enough chances.

I see other problems with our young defence, seedsman especially, when spoiling from behind you don't go body to body, you go knee to body!

Has played 7 games this year (we won 6 of those 7) averaging 15 touches and a goal a game. If he's fit he has to come straight in IMO

I would probably play Adams now but I reckon you are delusional if you think Adams "shot past him".

I can see a few changes this week. Expecting at least two. Toovey's a certainty if fit, our backline is far too inexperienced at the moment. Fasolo would have to be very likely with, I think, a couple of VFL games under his belt.

Ball, Dwyer and Thomas will also be a chance. How we went from playing three slow inside mids to just the one has me puzzled. Playing three was always a mistake, but dropping Thomas after Ball was injured seemed odd given we'd been going with three inside mids for a while. Left us looking light on for mids with Broomhead and Martin not able to compete through the middle. This left us playing Blair in the centre square more than I'd like. On the plus side we saw some excellent clearance work from Lumumba (7 clearances), hopefully we see him given this role more often.

in: Toovey, Fasolo
out: Martin, Broomhead

I'd like Broomhead to hold his place, maybe as the sub, but I'm struggling to find another omission.

Hmm, we probably need to fit in Thomas or Dwyer there somewhere, as we will still be lacking mids.

^^Yeah, I'm actually hoping he holds his place. Has shown in flashes that he's just the kind of player we need: quick and skillful.

Toovey didn't train yesterday according the CFC website so doubts would have to remain over his fitness at this stage.
