Good more games into Witts who has come on nicely
Frost and Langdon as everyone has noticed
Beating Carlscum twice
Freeman Scharenberg huge potential

Bad lack of experience due to so many young players
Turnovers bad handpasses shit disposal see lack of experience
White being so average to poor

Ugly injuries

While the season will be viewed by many/most of us as a failure if we do not make the finals, it's worth considering that our team has undergone a massive loss of experienced players over the past 2 years with the following players gone by the end of this year:

Maxy
Jolly
Didak
Wellingham
Dawes
Krakouer
Brown
Daisy
Shaw
Johnson
Tarrant
Ball (expected retirement)

Given this dramatic player turnover, it's actually a credit to Bucks that we are even still in the hunt for a finals berth. So while we are experiencing some short term pain, I reckon the future is looking very good with the crop of younger players we've got coming through.

I think you're judging Kennedy to harshly nudie rudie.

It's only his second season, he's excelled at VFL level, improved at AFL level from last year and very very unlucky not to have been selected in the senior team more often.

Oh and he has had to put up with being continually used as the sub when having him available to play all of the possible 120 minutes would have been beneficial.

He should have played a full game against Adelaide IMO.

Agree, get another full pre-season into him and he'll really start to blossom now that he's got the leg issues sorted. Fitness base is the only thing retarding his progress in 2014.

The ugly has been throwing Grundy and Witts to the wolves which has cost us the season. The good, Witts is getting game time. The bad, Grundy has had a shocker.

Apart from the terribly bad injury situation, the lack of improvement in Thomas, Williams and Grundy has been the biggest disappointment.

I've been happy with Williams. Considering his interrupted season, he has been very reliable week in week out. He'll only get better next year. I've always been sceptical of the big raps on Thomas. I just haven't seen anything special. He's always seemed a depth player to me, much like Dwyer. As for Grundy, I think most of us simply got a bit carried away with his early form. History says ruckmen rarely hit their straps until their early to mid 20s, so we just have to be patient. After all, Witts has been at the club for 3 years and is only now beginning to have an impact.
