What else is he supposed to say? That we are on track to come 14th?
Anyway he is telling the truth. We can win the flag...in 2015 |

For real can we stop saying "our best football can beat any team in the comp". What does that even mean in comparison with most other sides in the comp!!!? St. Kilda just showed with their best football they can beat Freo. Melbourne showed with their best footy they can almost snag Port. Adelaide showed with their best footy they can just about knock off the Hawks.
Maybe let's do away with the what ifs, and focus on starting to play some good consistent footy. No more of this "we can win the flag" nonsense. "Don't talk, DO!" |

I agree on all points. But this..... meaningless football jargon is all we have at this point in the season...so here is my addition....Let's go out....give 110%....do it for *insert inspirational name here*.... and so on |

Remind me, has he been out for 3 weeks with a hamstring or concussion? |
Consulting Baldrick was never going to be a good basis to make claims about our premiership prospects _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I'd prefer to just take it one week at a time. |

Do I think we will win the flag? Absolutely not.
You see when we bring our A game to the contest and apply fanatical pressure we can beat anybody anywhere anytime. Unfortunately, there is little evidence that we are going to do that sufficiently to make the finals and win 4 consecutive finals. But as long as we're in the contest there is still hope. Here's hoping. |
Remains a possibility, irregardless of probability, until it is no longer a possibility. |

I like it...
This is a mini-final this week against the crows (great to hear the players and coach acknowledge that) and the fact is that we win this one and we are a very good chance of playing finals footy... the probability of winning a flag is low - but it is still a possibility so therefore we can indeed still win the flag!
Momentum and confidence are missing - if they return anything is possible - I'll back the Pies to fight hard this week and get some confidence back in each other and start to build some winning momentum. _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

Gee this must be bloody hard to take for you "perceptive fellow"....
Go on, have the usual go at Elliot for being all unrealistic sunshine and lollypops....
I know you must be just itching to do this.... |
If you think we can still win the Flag.I would think you might be a tad Funny |
With all due respect DTM, you would know that I have NEVER picked the 'pies to win it this year. I have consistently said that it is a developing side under Bucks and they will hopefully peak in 2016, or we can steal a flag in 2015 IF we are extremely lucky.
But Elliot has the right to his opinion and all I was saying was that this kind of positive stuff will give the "perceptive fellow" here the shits.... |

Have to feel for Jamie, regardless of how he answered that question he was going to cop a pasting by someone. Can the Pies win the flag at their best? Certainly. Will they at their best? No.
Can they right now? Still possible... but very unlikely. Any team in the eight can win the flag, but I think it's going to be either the Hawks or Swans the money is on the Swans tbh. _________________ avg
