Personal opinions and views are great mate. So are rumours, unsubstantiated claims and wild guesses. No one stops you doing this. However if you are brave enough to post them, you should be brave enough to be challenged and confronted as to its truthfulness and accuracy. THAT is a true and proper discussion board, not just a propaganda board like the Andrew Bolt forum for example....
On the other hand, substantiated and accurate accusations, comments and statements that are actually factual makes discussion that much better...... |

The players need a break... anything really to stop the rot - hell, if they need a drinking binge with the players and coaches to bond and re-set then so be it! More of the same will not do!!! _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

Don't mind the boys having a break, but would of been nice if they could of had a team camp up there to build team spirit.
Do mind the pot shots at the original poster; uncalled for. The players, like it or not, are public figures and are paid as such. They are big boys, and if they read this bulletin board (which I'm sure they don't), they would piss themselves laughing, or be totally non-plussed. _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

Post that terrible defeat, they should have all gone for a bonding session at say, Hanging rock, camped out, in the cold, run up and down the rock a few times, a few ales around the campfire, with swannie on banjo and clokey on acoustic guitar, musing about the loss, and how to get better and overcome it, backs to the wall stuff, yeah, real bonding break. ! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

However it is clear the players do not give a stuff. A quick browse of their social media accounts will show a lot of them are in Queensland over their four days off. It's clear what many will get up to. It is ridiculous for them to have four days off regardless of the bye 2 at most would be sufficient. I highly doubt you will see other clubs afforded the same luxury over their bye.
This really pisses off members who pour money into the club and this attitude is reflected on the field, they do not give a stuff |
Really? You're taking the piss right? |

However I am entitled to make comment that the current attitude of the players and the way we are turning up on the field are very closely correlated. |
What a tool.Seriously!!! Why would they want to stay in that cold hole when they could come up here and enjoy a bit of sun?
I've just got back from my morning walk. It's a magnificent ,sunny day, people SWIMMING in the beach, for enjoyment, not cold torture and todays temp will reach a fabulous 23. Why wouldn't they? |

They also work for a living, paid a salary and are protected by a "Fully Negotiated" EBA which I dare say includes a break during the bye which would ALLOW them to do as they please, within limits, alchohol ,skin folds Etc.If they were forced into a group or team bonding situation this would be a serious breach of the EBA by the club. |

Carro, sorry to inform you but your boss has just told me that you're not getting weekends off from work any more. Apparently saw a picture of you on Facebook having a picnic with friends and has concluded that you're not taking work seriously enough. You'll still get Christmas morning off this year though, just so long as you don't stuff up between now and then.

Every year they've gone on a mid-season break when there was a split round and/or bye. With the clubs blessing, I think last season everyone went to the same place for four days, did one day of light training and enjoyed four days holiday. _________________ Ðavâgé

Let them go out and party. It might do them the world of good. Their attitude to the contest has stunk for the past 2 weeks. The time off may well invigorate a few of them. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

A few days to get away and freshen up, aye? Imagine the booze and recreational drugs!
Of course this stuff is only accessible in Queensland, 4 days a year. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

I know, right? How dare they. Sack the lot of them. I cannot believe they would go and do that for four days... Bloody nerve of these assholes. _________________ Ðavâgé
