The players don't give a stuff

I'm a huge Bucks can and still believe in his path.

However it is clear the players do not give a stuff. A quick browse of their social media accounts will show a lot of them are in Queensland over their four days off. It's clear what many will get up to. It is ridiculous for them to have four days off regardless of the bye 2 at most would be sufficient. I highly doubt you will see other clubs afforded the same luxury over their bye.

This really pisses off members who pour money into the club and this attitude is reflected on the field, they do not give a stuff

They just get injured training, anyway. They may as well drink rum in the Bahamas over the bye weekend.

Yes of course they have club approval but that shows you why we are sitting near outside the eight. Pendles is not a captains bootlace

I think the four day break might be part of the club/player contractual agreement.

My comment based on the facts that our intensity has significantly dropped since the midway point of the season and with our players boasting that they are in Noosa, Byron etc especially seeing it from our 'captain' is a real kick in the guts.

If they don't give a stuff why should we?

I understand it is a long season and four days off may be beneficial although a bit extreme. regardless I think boozy holidays are for the offseason.

At the moment they are playing for their wallets and the club has a culture of allowing them to.

2x byes and a certain number of days off negotiated in the players EBA, but I'm sure it's more about a lack of respect for the club and the jumper...

I think it's good they can get away and clear their heads, it's good some are getting out of Melbourne too, it's a bloody long season and the players work their asses off.
