Irregardless of what you people say, I'm sticking with my opinions regarding Marty and his girlfriend coming out. Never saw that bombshell coming. Very Happy

What is sad about Clarke is that at his best he was a real weapon to the team off the half-back line, i don't think anyone could doubt his real talent....just at some point he has stalled.

IMO he came back for the wrong reasons, his heart wasn't in it during this stint, he's been a massive flop considering how good he once was.

should go to the bombers, they got shots for that

I love these mispronounced/misheard sayings.

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/for_all_intents_and_purposes

and in one foul swoop ... Smile

That one is so common, people don't get that it's one Fell swoop.

I learnt something a couple of weeks ago, 'Touché' actually means 'touched me' it's a fencing term, not sure why people use it the way they do.

Speaking 'dribble' is another, it's 'drivel'

so next time some one says it I can slap em one?

Is that even a word? What's wrong with the word regardless?
Serious question, because I know you're not the only one on this board that uses the word irregardless. Confused

Apparently it's the Jason Akermanis of words: "has caused controversy since the early twentieth century".

I thought we were coming up with word howlers and irregardless is one of the biggest. I did read recently an article by a US professor who said we ought to approve of its use, as it is so widespread (like mischievious), that it has become part of common usage. That would be an asthma to me.

Agreed, we don't want to go giving such words the run of the green.

To treat that, ventolin would be truly mischievous.

Was meant to be the "Nathan Buckley of Gaelic Football", turned out to be another averagely skilled nuggety slow Pies player.
