That one is so common, people don't get that it's one Fell swoop. |
I learnt something a couple of weeks ago, 'Touché' actually means 'touched me' it's a fencing term, not sure why people use it the way they do....... |
Yes but the Doors singing c'mon, c'mon, c'mon touche me baby doesn't quite have the same ring about it

No, it wouldn't but I imagine Chrissy Amphlett touchéing herself would still have er.. warmed the senses _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Marty walked away when he had it all before him, was very talented but still had plenty that he needed to work on.
Has never been able to regain that form or work out those issues with his game, seemed to lack the requisite appetite to go all the way this time around and in truth, that also probably had something to do with why he left the first time. |

If correct that is a shame, then again we don't know what is happening behind closed doors. Could be any number of reasons.
Whatever happens at years end, i hope he gets a go at another club...seems like a good bloke and maybe needs a club where he can find a spot in a team like a Melbourne who could use his run. |

Despite it all Marty should at least get some props for at least trying to make it work, as well as the club supporting him. I doubt it was easy for the guy to come all this way to play in a new sport, knowing no one having everyone he cared about back in Ireland.
I do think it's all over for him at the club, but still admire him for trying. _________________ Ðavâgé

This.
It hasn't worked out (again), but I don't regret having him back to give it another shot.
Besides, we all know Marty was the steak knives in that deal to snare Elliott... |
