It's a shame he could never rediscover his sparkling form of 2007. He was one of our best players in the 2007 prelim against the Cats, completely shutting down Stokes and providing us great run off the half back line.

Marty is still here

A lot of the Pies playing list are going to Martys engagement party tomorrow night

Beamsy is then heading to Tassie for a function on Saturday

It's still hidden inside there somewhere, just not let off the leash anywhere near enough at VFL level to warrant senior selection and I think that might count against him at seasons end. Shame really, thought he could be quite a useful addition to the team when he returned.

That one is so common, people don't get that it's one Fell swoop.

I learnt something a couple of weeks ago, 'Touché' actually means 'touched me' it's a fencing term, not sure why people use it the way they do.

Speaking 'dribble' is another, it's 'drivel'

Means the same thing. Someone has made a clever point. Just like someone earns a point in fencing.

Touche - didn't know the literal interpretation, but the use makes sense "ah you got me with your rapier sword/wit" Very Happy.

Another one I see around a lot on the net is fraction instead of faction.

This thread really is a steep learning kerb. But I'm wrapped to be posting in it.

I suspect JW and a few others may enjoy this page. Smile
