According to Doc Larkins, if true I hope both opt for the Lars procedure, both high paid players who we simply can't do without for a year.

Heard Larkins says beams is a hyper extension possible ACL scans tomorrow

I haven't heard anything, someone on the post game thread said Larkins "almost certainly thinks both have done ACLs"

From the vision I think Cloke did his ( I said it at the time), Beams might be lucky and get away with bad bone bruising, fingers crossed on both.

I didn't see the Cloke incident. beams did not do the ACL. he will be shut down for the season with that injury but its highly unlikely he needs a year off.

The funny thing is that on Friday the doom and gloomers thought it was about as bad as it could get.......

Good news then. If Farko Larko says it's a horror story, it'll be the opposite. Beamer 4-6, Cloke will get the knee that the Collingwood 3D printer will spit out, with the horse knee ligaments grown on the side of a lab rat...all's fine.

Go the Pies!

How bad is a PCL, is it good news compared to an ACL?

Collingwood is about to enter one of the worst periods in the clubs history. It will get much, much worse. This time next year you'll look back fondly on the fact we were still in the hunt for the Top 8 before today. In a lot of ways it feels like it should be.

This is what Collingwood is. Tragic and ultimately unsuccessful. The way this is going to unravel will be as entertaining as anything that preceded it in the 70's and 80's. If you didn't join Collingwood to suffer then the take the first exit on your right!

Think that PCL is a 4-6 week injury, so much better than an ACL.

Hope you're on the money JW. That would be a best case scenario.

its great news, depending on the grade of the strain.

they certainly treated it as a PCL. RICE (rest ice compression elevation) is the treatment for a grade 1 or grade 2 injury. A full tear and its 6-12 months but PCL's rarely break. they tend to be partial tears which would mean out for season but ready to commence training with the full squad when the pre season starts.

2015 should not be affected by this injury.

The only positive news is that all of the injuries should not affect 2015.

With the number 6 pick in the 2014 AFL draft, the pies take "insert name". I wonder if Darcy Moore will get flagged ahead of us. MM would probably do it just to **** with us!

I disagree. I actually think we have a great list that will look a lot better with another preseason in them.

And I have heard that Franklin is an ars .... another part of the anatomy, higher than the ankle.
