I eagerly await the "club can do no wrong" coalition to appear on here and tell us how its a good thing that Eade is lying to us about the injury occurring on Sunday. |

I just got a tweet from channel 7s Jim Wilson, confirming that swannie is definitely gone for at least a month, injured. So, another one bites the dust. ! I hope swannie does not play again this season, get him right, do any operations now, get him cherry ripe for next season now.! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Swanny on MMM with JB and Billy.
Said that had a few niggles but nothing that he considered bad enough (up until now) to keep him out of games.
Doesn't like to miss games, but hopes that rest will get him right for the finals. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

There would be plenty of players playing with injury at any one time during a season and rightly or wrongly a player like Swan who has achieved so much probably has more sway when it comes to convincing a coach and medical staff he can and wants to continue playing through an injury.
It probably should just be taken out of his hands from the get go but people like him who have reached the heights he has generally have one thing in common and that is a burning desire to just play the game, it's what makes the boring team meetings and intensive training sessions bearable and keeps him coming back for another season.
He should have been tapped on the shoulder weeks back and told it's time for a rest but I can understand why it may have taken till now. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

There needs to be a bloody royal commission into all the injuries we get at Collingwood. I am convinced it has something to do with the way our players are prepared.
As for this season now, The Fat Lady is singing her lungs out. Can't see us making the finals now - not that it matters much because we aren't in the premiership hunt. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |

Plantar fasciitis is very painful. At least it was when I suffered from it. It took a long while to get it right.
I would imagine he has been playing on through his pain due to the sheer number of other injured players and the need to have a few experienced heads on the field.
The guy has been doing pretty well really with basically impeded wrists and at least one impeded foot.
Good on you Swannie. Take your rest and I hope your feet improve in time to see you back this season. Hope to see you out there if we make finals. of course not having you running around will increase the difficulty of getting there. Players like you do not grow on trees. _________________ Side by Side

I know this might come as a surprise but I don't agree with you!!
I have a gut feeling that we will make it somewhere between 5 - 8. |

It's been an issue for several years now, well ever since Bucks came in anyway. The success of our fitness and medic group has been ordinary to say the least.
Add this to our lack of skills and we are right were we should be, 6-10. |

I'm sticking with my original position that we will end in the 6-8 vicinity. The injuries have made to tougher but it is possible.
It is interesting that the same people who said we couldn't make the finals and were going to loose the majority of the first 7 rounds due to lack of talent are now the ones who are hard on the coach because although the team exceeded their expectations in the beginning of the year, they are now falling away due to injuries. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

Save Swan for 2015.
Fix whatever injuries he has (large and small) and have him back for a FULL pre-season. _________________ Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club
