Don't understand the injury excuse, if he is injured then don't play him, if he isn't then he should be dropped.

Don't want to disrespect a brownlow medalist and multiple copeland trophy winner but he has dropped away alarmingly for whatever reason. The famous gut running looks to have disappeared and whatever ball he does get is no longer damaging. There is perception that Martin is not being promoted because of his defensive side but Swan isn't giving us much defensively either and would argue Martin would give us more right now.

Given this topic and the many others on the front page can I ask this question?

Does Nick's house the least loyal and most fickle so-called 'supporters' in the league?

My vote:
Too fu&*ing right it does.

Champion player. Yes in the past.

If injured - rest him.

If not injured - drop him.

He was hopeless tonight.

The season is a right off, I'd give him a rest to get his body and/or mind right .

Not Quite yet. Still a Chance for Finals but lose the next few weeks vs Crows and Dons. Then we might be good to get him Ready for the 2015 Season

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it only 12 months, Swan was giving the brownlow a shake? As one of the premier midfielders?

Wow some people have smaller memory than a fish....

Get off his back (this post isn't direct at you Simon Tonna)

Does he still have any mates left at the club?

If he does get rid of them immediately, worked wonders the first time around.

Yes it is simple isn't it? How many rounds have we had the same result with him, but we comtinue down the same road. Send him for surgery or a long rest if injured & put someone in there that can give a contest. If we keep doing the same thing we will get the same result. If he isn't injured then he should be in the VFL.

The weak wrist excuse was always bullshit. As is the hobbling around gripping his groin.

He's lazy now and more interested in planning his nightclub ownership post footy.

I'm of the same opinion.

How many times have we seen Swanny fumble, dish it off to a teammate in a worse position than himself, toe kick when he could easily picked up the pill, kick waywardly (not that he is RC in any of the above).

This has nothing to do with injury .. more about someone who no longer has the fire in the belly or commitment to the cause. Maybe a natural reaction, a feeling of satisfaction to what he has archived football wise.

Club great, Brownlow medalist, etc mean little to the selection table if you are no longer committed. There is no room on the field for someone who just wants to go through the motions with both eyes on retirement.

He has been down this year most weeks - and no doubt 30 for some can be tough - but I will back Swan (a champion footballer) to bounce back in the next few weeks and next year!
