We are a big club. We can afford to pay the earth for a decent coach.
Pay out Buckley (who should NEVER have got a contract extension) and throw the cheque book at Bomber Thompson. Now there is a tried and true premiership coach. Buckley is just another James Hird (without the capacity to cheat  ).

^ Yeah Thompson does complain and seems not interested some times... seemed sick of footy post geelong but seems pumped again for footy - with the Bummers!

Buckley's taking us backwards - he just can't coach. His game plan is awful and his team is awful.
So the succession plan failed, time to accept it and move on now. No point being stubborn and sticking with this spud in the hope that one day we'll be able to say, "told you so".

MM won a flag when there was a huge push on this board to dump him in 2009 for Buckley,, not sure another knee jerk reaction by you and others has any more credibility.

See correction above - hit send before checking. But point remains , change will only continue instability and push us further away from contending. People thought bomber couldnt coach in 2009.
Give Bucks a settled 22 and then assess him. As it stands there are far more reasons to explain poor performance than the coach alone. |

I can not think of one positive that wouldn't have happened at the Club if Bucks wasn't coaching us. And we're at the stage were every man and his dog is calling us a joke.

We play a putrid brand of footy. Our coach is keeping his job based on his playing deeds & not his coaching deeds. The 2 must be separated.
If we installed Mark Neeld or in fact anybody else & we had gone backwards like we have over the last 3 years, we would be calling for his head to a man. The romance of Bucks coaching us has to be put aside. Are we moving forward under him. The answer is an emphatic no. |
