I gotta admit that if this was a live convo I would be well into the realms of hilariously politically incorrect ironic casually racist jokes by now.

Goddamn permanence of written word even on the interwebs...

i'll correct you, Ray Byrne was useless - Tommy Hafey's favorite, perceived as trying hard, but no class at all.

I disagree. When Kevin Bartlett played his 400th Byrne lined up on him on the ground and presented him with a comb from his sock. That's gold 👍

I'd have Jeffy lurking in our pox train-wreck forward line in a heartbeat.

He'd have run amok out there tonight.

I'd take him for sure. We need zip and flair desperately, we took that dud Russell ffs

Garlett doesn't seem to be injured very often. That's enough for me. Let's sign him.

We need a small forward desperately and someone with flair and Garlett fits that criteria. However my biggest concern about him is the lack of defensive game he has and his ability to go missing in games when he's not having an impact whatsoever.

If we recruited Garlett, then we're taking a big risk in my view.

Jezza, you just described half of our best 22......what do we have to lose?

Then that would be the kiss of death for him then. Wink

The surest way to end one's career is to be recruited to Collingwood given our track record over the years. Sad

Guys, what the status on Garlett? Injured, or out of favour and rotting away in the reserves, waiting for a round three pick trade?
Reckon #38 will be vacant in a few weeks too...

Could we get him?I reckon he could get 40 to 50 goals a year if he parked himself in front of Cloke. At the moment those goals are going begging, because there's never anyone there!

Stuff the defensive game. Didak was a squib and I'd give anything for him back in his prime right now.

Higgins is vastly overrated IMO and he's injury riddled to boot. Garlett is a better fit and at his best as better player.
