This is a glass half full and half empty topic. Where do you think we will finish?
A Tanking 10th for me. |

What's the point of tanking if we are going to be forced to use our first draft pick on Darcy Moore anyway? But I do agree with our final position. At this rate 10th will be a miracle. |

I really do not care. I just want to see the team trying and doing the best, The beginning of this season I thought, just give me a good game and I will be happy. Then they did and I thanked the footy gods and said, right, I do not care what you do this season, I am now happy. But then a run of good games made me dare to dream and perhaps I got ahead of myself in my expectation. The last few games may have been reality check. We really have seen a lot of very young players give it every thing they had for a while and performed beyond what we should have expected from them.
My observation over many years has been that young teams tend to tire at the end of a season. Might be happening to us now.
I do wish we would play our seasoned champions in the positions that they have become champions in when the season is on the line. But perhaps there are factors i do not know about that preclude that.
The team is where it is. No amount of nail biting or teeth gnashing will change it. My observation is that we could not play much worse, which happily means there is plenty of upside ahead.
The lesson to learn is that supporting a team through these times makes the good times all the sweeter when they come along. _________________ Side by Side |

Must make finals for the sake of out young players experiencing a final. don't care if we're 8th on percentage at this stage. _________________ Side By Side Forever |

After what I just witnessed - I couldn't care less where we finished. Our top draft pick will be the one with the dodgy hammy or feet and won't be able to kick properly, so why does it matter? |

Well, Adelaide actually have tall forwards, as opposed to Essendon who have none, so our next game will be tough if we don't play a hell of a lot better (and play Keeffe ).
Win that though and we'll make the 8. Without looking at the draw and without a great deal of confidence I'll tip seventh as our final resting place. _________________ Well done boys! |

Said at the start of the season we could end up anywhere from 4 to 10. After today and on form, could be lucky to make the 8. Still think 6 to 10. |

Yes, that looks like the form guide. Still, it'd only take one or two boilovers in the right direction for us to make it. And we should do all that we can to make it - young players benefit from finals, and the jumper should never play like it doesn't care. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

^^Missing our Port game at home after the Adelaide game.
The Adelaide game is huge now. Win that and we'll make the 8 as long as we beat GWS and Brisbane at home (Eagles game is also very winnable). We have some serious regrouping to do over the bye to get to that point though. Will need to do an Adelaide from earlier in the year and come out firing. _________________ Well done boys! |

Doh... Port haven't been playing their best but should beat us. Although we would be a chance. _________________ Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club
