I doubt the last 2mins would've made an ounce of difference!

I noticed in the last 2 minutes Buckley had this blank look on his face with no idea on what to do . He had his hands clasped behind his head when maybe he could have picked up the phone .

The decision to extend his contract defies belief ?

It's George W Bush and My Pet Goat all over again!

I'd like to think that Buckley will learn from this mistake and, next week, spend the last five minutes of the game slamming phones, yelling incomprehensibly at his assistants and waving his arms around like a maniac.

I saw the thread title and here was me thinking he had a cigar in one hand and a bourbon in the other laughing his head off......

FFS 2 weeks ago majority of people were saying how good Bucks has been doing. We lose to Bulldogs with a young team and now his the worst coach in the AFL.
Those that want to change their mind every 2 weeks go support Ninthmond where its fine for that to happen

The footage of Buckley in the coaches box, in the final minutes of the game suggests that he was at a loss at what to do in order to win when he had the chance. After all, it only takes one phone call to make an important tactical move that would have brought us victory. Instead he looked as though he was on an island holiday and his mind clearly wasn't on the job a la MM in the 2011 GF, who also gave up and stopped coaching. This is very worrying and something we should be deeply concerned about people.

.

Lol yeah...Buckley need to pick up the phone "bash it against the desk a few times [make sure it worked] then speak".

I agree, it has been a good few weeks since the "lets sack bucks" thread has been top of the pops!

There's not a coach in the game that would've known what to do yesterday in those dying minutes. Point your fingers at the playing group who decided to have a little holiday.....and even then cut some of those kids some slack.

Young side, young coach. Disappointing loss. Overreacting fans.

love these sorts of threads.

When there is a half decent topic for discussion in another thread you can look back to some of these comments and put peoples comments in clear perspective.

My sources inside the coach's box tell me in that point in time Nathan was trying to remember Heater's phone number to ring up and apologize for the Adams trade. You heard it here first
