Taylor Adams is already better than Shane Woewodin was for us. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

Actually this thread begins as an invasion of the interminable bastards and ends up with both defence of Adams and some constructive and polite criticism. If anything this thread shows that the vast majority on here respect and admire our players.
Although I wouldn't mind a carding for player bashing, when something goes beyond criticism and becomes vile, nasty abuse. Remember we had JA's relatives on here at one stage and I cringe to think about Taylor or his family reading some of this. Too many people forget that players are people, not just representations of your current mood and whim. |

An interesting comment.
When he won the Brownlow he had a spectacular year and was a deserving Brownlow Medallist in my opinion.
He was never to reach those lofty heights again and by the time he came to Collingwood the game has past him bye.
From my perspective he seemed quite slow and very unsure of himself. He was good at times getting the in and under ball but would stagnate our entry forward by being indecisive , delaying his kick and allowing the opposition to man up.
He certainly wasn't a great investment from what I witnessed. All the same he did try hard and seemed to be a pretty good bloke. |

Everything you say is correct, but I think the bolded bit must be referring to a different Shane Woewodin. Horribly soft to go with his other deficiencies..... _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

How old is Adams? Was no where near the worst, in fact IMHO held his own. I'd take a 20 year old Adams over a 28 year old Shaw any day.
Personally, I think the worst on ground goes to Bucks - either horribly outcoached or terribly underprepared for the opponent. Either way, cost the game. |

The ugly ducking turns into a Swan.
What does a spud turn into?
Anyway he was pretty good today. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

^^He was as good last week, except for his kicking. This week he played it safer and only kicked when he had to. When he does kick he still has no confidence, and elects to go backwards too often, afraid of turning it over.
That's fine though, as he becomes more comfortable at the level, he will improve. His kicking may always be a weakness, but I'm sure he'll gain the confidence to at least attempt a pass or two. _________________ Well done boys!

I said it on page 2 and I'll say it again. Paul Licuria.
This guy is hard and can find it. He's not a great kick but he's dedicated and seems a real club first player. I'm sticking fat _________________ http://youtu.be/hvtdbfI1sqQ |

The kid was clearly our best player, behind only Cloke and Pendles. |
