Look it has reached the point of ridiculousness now. Three massive threads (two about Essendon and ASADA) and the one about Darren Glass have now been moved to the graveyard spot (Nicks Other AFL). I mean who reads the other sections of Nicks?
I'd say 95% of all the traffic on Nick's is people coming on for a GENERAL DISCUSSION of all things football. I for one am getting sick of all these threads being moved willy-nilly. The editing of posts is bad enough! 
So come on mods. What's the deal? Either rename GENERAL DISCUSSION to read "Collingwood ONLY Forum", or allow us to be adults and have open discussion on all things footy.
So how long will it take for this thread to either be moved or taken down?

Absolutely. Its a travesty that should never happen. Sadly this is becoming more and more a forum dictated by mod(s) instead of a forum moderated by mods.

Change the title then! General discussion means GENERAL DISCUSSION. Some people like to come onto Nick's and talk about more than just Collingwood, and we don't want to have to sort through about 50 forums to find the topic. You should have a section for HOT topics that helps people to avoid having to trawl through the dozens of forums on the Nick's title page.
Sorry to explode like this, but I mean the biggest story in footy this year has just broken and the threads on it are being MOVED.

Guess that would explain why Donny started a thread in General Discussion last weekend (which is still there by the way) entitled 'Hawks just 1 pt in front of GWS at 3 qtr time'
..maybe you put it there for maximum exposure? So someone would actually see it... And maybe respond?

i agree with spindog on this. the thread should have been allowed air time in gd and then moved out in 24-48 hours. no one would have minded this thread remaining.

Or just um leave it there so people can comment on it and new people can find it by default. The critical mass don't change to other forums, x number years and I certainly don't bother.

Agree with OP. As long as it's AFL general discussion topic then it shouldn't be in general discussion. I only recently discovered the Other AFL section.
I now find General discussion has very limited reading. Not sure what the point of a separate section is. It just hides additional topics. |
