I don't think we can continue to play all three. Discuss.

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Yep, I've been saying all year we should be only playing two of them. It's ok to play three for development reasons, but we've gone with it too often this year. Grundy and Witts aren't good enough at the moment, and White does far too little.

We have to until one of Reid/Karnezis comes back from injury. Once they do, the ideal set up would be White to be back up ruck with Grundy no.1 ruck and Cloke and Reid as the two main targets.

We have to play a 3 tall forward line or it'll leave Cloke completely exposed. At least today you could see Cloke being able to dominate the forward line even though the other talls were useless up forward.

Our problem is that all our KPP stocks are being decimated at the moment through injury and we don't have enough depth. That's why I think recruiting someone like Frawley through free agency

Yep agree as we'll, once Reid is playing White will be dropped, he is seriously out of form, or maybe just doesn't cut it in our side

I think it's going unsaid but grundy is having the second year blues, which is normal, and Witts is still a way off. Still cannot understand us going into this season with no decent ruck.

What was the point of elevating Hudson to the senior list at the start of the year if White, Grundy and Witts are all going to play together?

It was always a problem and the number 1 reason I've not considered us to be a chance to go all the way. Witts and Grundy will be exposed by stronger bodies. They are both developing nicely but are not ready to compete when it really matters.

Thought they held their own in the ruck against Minson who is probably the best ruck in the game at the moment.

Problem was our mids getting smashed in clearances. Apart from Pendles and Adams, no one could win a clearance. Beams was sorely missed.

Rucks help to win a clearance. And I'm not talking about tap work, it's not that important, where both can too easily be exposed is around the ground, far too easily outmarked for one, especially Grundy.

Until we have Reid or Karnezis to help out Cloke up forward when White goes into the ruck, I don't think we have any alternative. Yes, Witts and Grundy get exposed a bit but I don't think it's more so than the alternatives would.

Maybe Oxley could play forward in the interim but he is not a KPP and he needs to find some fitness first.

Hit out stats ended up being similar and it wasn't like Minson was clunking lots of marks around the ground.

What killed us was Griffen.
