Someone takes a speccy over his head, and he lays down like he was shot, and gets carried off on a stretcher.

Jay Schulz just walks past him laying on the ground and mumbles "soft"

When we play port, we need someone to go after him. Hes soft as butter

He's got form staying down too.
I see a bit of Lindsay Thomas in him.

He had something like four concussions as a junior. He is a star who has major concussion issues. Hardly soft.

Never seen him avoid a contest, so i'm not sure about soft.

But he is a show pony of the highest order.

Staying down motionless, he wasn't out when he got hit, and he didn't go out on the way down.....

Would give his parent fits i'd imagine.

Hardness of taking a boot to the head standing under a mark in the AFL > sitting at a key board labelling somone soft. No-one who plays AFL footy is soft. The soft players get weeded oit long before.

Indeed.

Bit of tall poppy syndrome going on in this thread I'm guessing.

Spot on. Would like to see those accusing Wingard of being soft react to the boot to the head he took, would probably be out for 4 weeks.

LOL. His teammate was the one that called him soft.

No disrespect to the expert lip-readers on here, but I find that a little hard to believe.

I'm not personally calling him "soft" in the sense he backs out of contests when the ball's there to be won.
But he is a dead-set stager that could do with a word to him stop staying down/exaggerating.

With that clarification I could in theory agree (don't see him often enough to know).
