Needs match fitness for mine and I'm not sure who he'd replace at the moment, but I do like the look of him.

He's a footballer. Can be a bit laconic, but moves well. Tall enough to be a 3rd marking target, agile enough to play midfield or small forward. Very competitive when the ball is in his area, team oriented, (reckon he gave off 3-4 goals easy), not the most defensively minded bloke I've ever seen though.

We need another attacking option on the forward line. Shouldn't be playing both Goldsack or Blair unless they start kicking goals (unlikely).

Likely replacements for one of them: Kennedy, Fasolo, Karnezis.

Wasn't best on ground!
Watched him closely last few weeks
is lazy and lacks a big heart
has potential and can score well with limited ops
keep him in the vfl
and keep watching his hunger

Was there today. He wasn't my best on ground, although he was very good. Just lacks the defensive effort at the moment that would get him a berth in the seniors. That can be taught though.

If he can pick up his intensity when the pies aren't in possession he will be knocking the door down soon enough.

Opinions are like arseholes.

I guess he was BOG for the person who wrote the article but a couple of Nickster's who were at the game had Adams as there BOG who didn't even feature in this persons best 6.

To be honest not sure how you could have Brown in your best six when as a defender the ball was up the other end all day Wink

Can he find it? Yes.
Can he kick? Yes.
Can he kick goals? Yes.
Um, seems like a no brainer to me.

Thanks to all those posters who were at the game yesterday. I respect your view on his performance more than what the website says. I've been pushing Karnezis in this and other threads purely because he's a goal kicker and it's what we are really lacking right now. Since he arrived I've suspected that he is one of those guys who won't get huge numbers but will always kick his 2 goals. He should earn his spot though and if he isn't showing the right attributes with his defensive side and work rate then he might still be a while away.

To say though 'who should we drop him for?' Doesn't cut it. We aren't kicking enough goals and that is what forwards are there to do. I love the forward pressure that Goldy and Blair provide for example but if it's not directly resulting in goals it's not paying dividends. We need to try something different in our forward line because 'if nothing ever changes then nothing ever changes'.

I think he's the only player who can influence whether Ben Reid plays forward or back. Other than Ben himself, of course

Unless you're set on always playing two rucks, we can fit Karnezis and Reid into our forward line.

Now:
Blair Cloke Witts
Elliott White Goldsack

Could be:
Blair Cloke White
Elliott Reid Karnezis

That's much more dangerous. To replace Goldsack though, Karnezis will have to be in top form. He's always going to be a bit laconic and will never have Goldsack's intensity. That will count against him, but if he is at least putting in an effort defensively, he'll be a chance for a game if he's going well offensively. Other options are Fasolo and Kennedy, though they'd be replacing Blair with Goldsack holding his spot.

3 goals in a 110 point win....not saying much

Plus hes not tall enough to be a key position, hes the same height as pendlebury

Goldsack is still ahead of him, and can swing down back when needed.

Paine was kicking handfuls in the VFL last year, and look where he ended up...

He was the Highest Goal Kicker for us - Does that say much?
