My match preview went up earlier this morning on the club website. First chance I've had to link it up.

Brown and Fasolo in for Dwyer and Keeffe.

Patrick Keane's twitter has the teams already

Don’t like those Picks and I think Bucks has mad a Massive Mistake not Brining in another Inside Mid. Not as Confident I was.

Bucks might of cost us the Game

I'm sure bucks is trembling in his boots that DTM doesn't agree with the team selections.

Who needs 2 million worth of coaches - lets just ask Dave!

And Keefe just needs a spell ...

It's symptomatic of our current situation. Play a bad one and there is a couple of players waiting to take your spot. It's a great problem to have.

Great ins if you ask me. N Brown was always coming in this week.

Fasolo adds a bit of class coming out of the backline.

Agreed. And as serviceable as Sammy Dwyer is, Faz offers something that is irresistible to the selectors.... X-factor!

I do worry about our midfield depth though. last week we had Blair in the starting 4 at times, that should never happen, ever.

Blair is in the team for his defensive pressure. A key factor if the Buckley/Collingwood game plan. If he drops off in this area, or another player proves they are doing it better than him, than he will not be dropped.

Adams might be running around getting 32 touches in the 2's which is great, but he doesn't play the same role as Blair.

If Martin could improve his defensive pressure than I think that he is the only player who could replace Blair at this stage. Or perhaps Fasolo with Sinclair coming into the backline

a bit of disposal efficiently with faz helps out our cause.
but it doesn't improve were we fail the most part. cloke,
sidebottom, goldsack and blair better start to combine.

That was just to give him a break from being the lead-up target at CHF!

I don't think Dwyer was dropped as such, probably just thought it best not playing him as the sub again, will be interesting to see who gets the vest this week, hope it's not the Fas.

I think we are still not clear on what our best combination is, or who are in our best 22. It is inevitable that we must experiment to some extent. Some losses will result from this and no doubt will be condemned retrospectively by some as the result of poor selection. But in reality with our young side of so much emerging talent such losses will be inescapable and will be the means from which we will crystallize out our best 22. I think our loss to Adelaide was to some degree part of this process. Right now, I am not sure about the balance of midfielders and defenders/outside players. I am not sure whether or not we should include Josh Thomas for extra midfield depth and drop Clinton Young before the match against the Eagles. Or instead, give Clinton Young another opportunity to impose his strength with some beautiful kicking forward. Perhaps we need to try Clinton Young again to see whether or not last week was an aberration. This is all part of developing and building our team and finding the way to harness its full potential.
