This year's draft.
Like the sound of this kid. Mid field beast. Can go forward too. Goalkicker.
Any chance?

Christian Petracca
Eastern Ranges/Vic Metro
4/1/96
185cm/92kg
Medium forward/midfielder
Petracca is the draft's point of difference. He's a big, strong and powerful forward who out muscles almost everyone in one-on-ones and is taking his talents into the midfield. Petracca has a presence when the ball's in his area: he hustles and bustles through packs, breaks tackles, pushes and shoves and wants the ball in his hands. He's most comfortable around goal, but is working on using his improved aerobic capacity in an on-ball role.

Knightmare over on BigFooty originally had him well inside the 1st round at the start of this year. Has gradually downgraded him with each update to his phantom draft. Currently has him going mid-2nd round.

Suspect he may be this year's Tim Membrey: rated highly early in the year, but likely taken later in the draft due to his height.

at 185 cm he's not a big powerful forward, he's shorter than Beams.

To compare, macCaffer is listed as 187cm and 89kg.

A strong body might knock 18 your olds around but he's going to need more tricks to survive against the adults.

Exactly. Wont be pushing AFL bodies around.

An already 92kg frame on a 18 year old 185cm midfielder will be able to push around plenty of other senior midfielders and that's where his future lies if he is to have one in the AFL.

Anyway unless we somehow come up with another round 1 pick (highly unlikely) then he'll be gone well before we have another selection after Moore.

He's the same size as Swanny is at present. Plenty of good kids around, Moore will be our first rounder though.

Callum Twomey

Vic Country get the win over Vic Metro by 44 points. Maishman 29, Lonie with 25 and two goals. Petracca was Metro's best with 31 in midfield.
