Clowney has been taken at number 1 in the draft. I guess that means I am late starting this thread. Hopefully, OEP will be ready with his draft review soon. And for his sake, after the strange off-season news about Aldon Smith and CK I hope the 49ers will have positive draft news.

Hi all sorry no review yet but it's been hectic and I just haven't had time to do a proper review of the draft. In saying that my initial view on all the teams in general is that most, not all, teams had above average or higher drafts given the unbelievably depth at just about every position in this draft.

Given that I'll only do a review of the bottom teams and the teams I remember are supported by posters on this site, from memory that's Green Bay, New England, and Washington (are they still the Redskins?). If I've forgotten any let me know because I'm hoping to get my reviiew out sometime midweek.

Good luck to everyone's teams for the 2015 season.....who am I kidding GO NINERS Very Happy

There's at least one Colts and one Jets fan who look in from time to time, OEP.

Meanwhile, lets play a word association game. What do these words mean to you?

"Hooker"

"Hotel"

"Quarterback"

Shocked

She wasn't a hooker, she just (apparently) was acting like one.

And for you -

"Necks"

"San Francisco 49ers"

"QB injuries".

That's a big call Dave, Ryan was one of (if not the all time biggest) busts of all time. I don't think Jonny Football is going to be that bad his ego wouldn't be able to take it.

True, but Leaf's issue was that he couldn't play ball at an NFL level.

I don't see how a kid can be a "bust" 2 months before the start of his first season.

I thought his first game or 2 where good but went backwards fast after that

He can't, but like last year I just don't see any starting quality QB's. Personally I believe Johnny Football's biggest hurdle will be his enormous ego, hence the reason he refers to himself as Johnny Football.

That right there was the problem. All those little issue at the lower levels were exposed at the highest level and unfortunately for him he was unable to make the required adjustments.

Laughing The strategy is that No. 4 comes back, obviating the need for running backs. Easy! Mike is not entirely sold on this strategy, just yet - but I expect his call back very soon.

Sorry guys I've had an unbelievably busy time since (and before) the draft so I just haven't had the time to do any type of decent review of the draft. So instead I've looked around the Internet and found a review that best matches my immediate views on the draft.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2048464-2014-nfl-draft-grades-report-cards-for-all-32-gms

It doesn't surprise me that BR has a review closely matching mine as I predominately use them for my player information and NFL updates.
