Denver at Bengals is getting exciting. Denver within a TD and a fumble has given Peyton back the ball. Broncos 1st and goal at the 9, trailing 21:27. |

And the Broncos have taken the lead 28:27. 1 minute 29 seconds to go in the third quarter. |

3.30 to go. Broncos have the ball. But an interception by Peyton leads to a Bengal 37:28 lead. |

And another interception at the Cincy 5 gifts the Bengals the game and they clinch a playoff spot. |

That loss hands the Patriots the no.1 AFC seed. _________________ A Collingwood supporter since the egg was inseminated. |

The last 2 regular season games for this year are San Diego at Kansas City (Monday, 5am) and Arizona at San Francisco (8.25 am). Don't tune in late this week because there is no 12.30 pm game. |

The Chiefs (with Daniel starting in place of Smith at QB) have just eliminated the Chargers with a 19:7 home win. And Joe Flacco just snatched a playoff place for the Ravens with a 20:10come from behind win against the Browns. So, the AFC playoff teams will be the Pats (despite their irrelevant loss to the Bills today), the Broncos, the Colts and everyone in the AFC North except the Browns. The upcoming game between the Steelers and the Bengals will determine which of those teams takes the 3rd seed (assuming the Broncos beat the Raiders) in the AFC - and will face up to the Ravens in the first week of the playoffs - the loser will finish 5th. |

There's a late change in free to air programming. Looks like the game to decide the NFC South is on - Carolina at Atlanta. |

I'll leave OEP's question hanging for a fortnight. Pack 30, Lions 20, so Green Bay finish second and Detroit 6th.
Carolina beat Atlanta 34:3 to snatch 4th seed in the NFC and Seattle took the first seed, beating the Rams 20:6, Dallas third and Arizona fifth.
In the AFC, the Bengal v Stealers game is on free to air, now (this week my tipping was so bad, I couldn't even correctly predict the number of games to be shown). Big Ben's Boys lead 20:10 at the half. |

Meanwhile, the 49ers beat Arizona and Harbaugh has hung up the clipboard. |

Hey ho, let's go! Cardinals at Panthers is about to kick off Wildcard Week, live. You can watch all the games free to air (see previous post for start times) on channel 73.
I've been listening to Uncle Ray's "Spirit of Christmas" CD to get in the mood. Maybe if the music is all from 1985, Joe Cool will come out and throw. |

The Cards had it first but went three and out. After the punt, the Panthers will start at the Arizona 48. |
