Frost is secure in our best 22 at present.
I think the competition may be between Keeffe and Brown for the fullback position. |

Brown to play on gorilla types while Frost takes care of more agile forwards. |
Yep. Brown on Haystacks Calhoun (Hawkins) of Geelong before Frost.
Having said that Dermie on radio was saying we should trade Brown at the end of the year & fill some holes we might need to fill. He didn't say full back would be one of the holes _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I think to much of the perm solution from the 80's must have leaked into Dermie's brain if that was his suggestion.
All this coming from a man who broke his cock once.
P.S-That revelation isn't relevant to his comment but it sure is funny. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

^^Not sure what position we'd necessarily need to fill.
I suppose we lack a small crumbing forward, maybe a 25yo ruck man? _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

I originally thought this as well but Frosty is alot better at playing on a man as opposed to Maxy who plays loose.
The german will take Maxy's role I think. _________________ We're always up to mischief! |

I thought that was Schanraberg was for. That was what Hine said |
Not if he develops into a midfielder. |
Well, We 1st have to get him on the Ground 1st.
I say he start down back and has the Possibility to going to the Midfield |
Well, yes Dave, that I assumed was part of the bargain...
I seem to recall Maxy giving an interview a while back where he was asked about Scharenberg and what the kid was like. Maxy said they (the club) had plans for him to eventually become a tall midfielder. Comparisons to Goddard not entirely askew... |

Frost's disposal is a concern, so Scharenberg may well be a better fit for this role at ~190cm and able to run off and deliver. Bit Brendan Goddard like. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Brown did a great job in the 2010 Grand Final, and with that being said I am afraid he is too slow and limited in his kitbag of defensive tools to keep Frost out.
I am with Derm and let's use him for trade bait while he is still worth something, because Frost can spoil on both sides and can still jump. Brown could be a very useful player for another Club and provide us with another player type that we need, and that is what has to happen in this free agent period now that early picks are available. _________________ Happiness is being a Collingwood Football Club Member! Who plays on the gorilla forwards?
Frost and Keeffe need a few more preseasons to be strong enough. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

Just signed a new 3 year deal so FA not a consideration. Irregardless, can't see Brown going anywhere. Is only out of the side because he dislocated a shoulder, missed a week and has now resumed in the VFL so it won't be long before he's back in the seniors. How quickly people forget how good he is, reminds me of the sort of criticism Presti used to get early in his career. |
