Agree we took Schazza over Aish because if List Fit. As you shown we had plenty of the same as Aish but not many of Scharabnerg

Yep. I guess you could slot Oxley, Langdon, and Maxwell into that general category, with Maxy to retire soon. Oh, and Goldsack if you play him back, but I count him as a forward. So long-term that really only leaves us with three counting Scharenberg, and Langdon plays more like a small-medium, so perhaps just two. I can see a role for both of them: I really liked what Oxley did last year and reckon he can play 100+ for us.

I think though the upside is a bit more for Scharenberg than across half back.
From what I understand he has the potential to play as a tall on baller, wing and even CHF type. A goddard or Hird comparison was thrown around at some point.
These types of tall utilities do not come around often and I would suggest this is the main reason he was chosen over Aish.
Not to mention we traded in Adams as a ball winning Mid.

^^Yep looks a lot like a Goddard type. As with Goddard though, that means it will take some time before we know where his best position will be.

How about you go and get a Red Card Evil or Very Mad

I am sure if he has a girlfriend he wouldn't care. Aish was deserved of his award. Stop being petulant DTM. How do you give a RS award to a player who gives away 8 free kicks. FMD

Steady on there Ronrat. There was a player out there last week who stuffed up ten times that many free kicks, and still picked up three Brownlow votes. And he's a fair chance for the Coleman this year, I reckon. Young fella named Ray Chamberlain. Keep your eye out, he's going to be a star.

back to the original topic, I think Langdon could have easily been nominated. He played a very good game on Anzac day to go a couple of other very good games

^ Yep. Aish was a worthy nominee last week, but Langdon is in the zone. Another game like last week's and you'd reckon he'd be a front runner.

Aish is a worthy nominee of a fairly suss award.
Most winners are mids
Very few backmen ever get nominated
