A resounding yes from me.
1. It's the same as a trip to Perth. Make it the round before the bye and I see no issue player wise.
2. New Zealand is brilliant, and although Wellington is one of the cities I haven't been to, from everything I have been told (and read here) going to a game there would be akin to seeing Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, but minus the dickhead fans and the fact you are in Adelaide.
3. I would definitely go with my young family. My wife is a Saints supporter and it would be an annual holiday, with a trip either north or south before or after the game. I doubt I'd be the only one. The NZ tourism board would love it.
4. If it replaces a WA away game, lock it in Eddie!
5. If the AFL is serious about taking football abroad, don't do it half @rsed, do it with the best team in the comp! _________________ A wild handpass by Wild! |

Never been done before.
Never should be done again. |
The 30,066 New Zealanders killed in battle alongside our blokes in the two world wars tell you to get fncked and stay fncked. More than 30,000 dead. Never mind the wounded, maimed and crippled. Never mind all the others who served and fought and somehow lived to tell the tale. Ask any Australian soldier who he'd want guarding his flank in the next trench over, someone he could trust not to cut and run, someone who was, man for man, every bit as good a soldier as the Aussie bloke and better than just about anyone else, and he'd take the Kiwi every time. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

It's not stupidity we commemorate.
It's our fallen soldiers. |

Stupid idea Collingwood playing a game in NZ.
St Kilda really are hilarious. Can't believe they lost that game. Embarrassing.
And why should we play them there? They can't beat us at Etihad anymore, so they're gonna try New Zealand? lol
It will be one less game I can get to or it will cost an arm and a leg.
Forget it. |

Steady on there Matty. It could save us a lot of money, playing over there. For starters, we wouldn't have to pay anyone to clean up all the vomit and graffiti outside Docklands or the MCG. And we could save the airfares too: just give our regular blokes the week off and invite 22 random Wellington-based Collingwood supporters to pull on the gurnsey for the day. No point in sending elite professionals all that way when we are only playing St Kilda. As for the ground amenities issue, I don't see a problem there. For a few hundred dollars we could donate a case of Brandivino, a Twitter account, a couple of prostitutes, a mobile phone and a schoolgirl. That should keep St Vomit busy for a few months and out of the way while the serious clubs get on with playing football.
But on second thoughts, it might be easier just to let them play Norf. Which, now that I think about it, amounts to much the same thing anyway. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

I would rather relocate the Stains to NZ and deport their supporter base with them. They could play in the NZFL and be the only team in the league _________________ WELLLINGHAM ROVES IT....AND KICKS THE GOAL!!!!
SWAN'S GOING TO KICK A GOAL. THEY'RE HOME YOU'D THINK I KNOW IT'S A LONG WAY TO GO BUT THEY'RE KILLING THEM NOW!! |

I see. You think, perhaps, that the former wasn't the cause of the latter? |

If the former wasn't the cause of the latter is, then I'll be very surprised. |

It's more complicated than that.
The boys and men who have fought and died in the name of the ANZACs weren't stupid, many had no choice. For them, I commemorate. |
