Yes I heard that as well. Bucks won't be a happy man tonight if it's found the medics have made a mistake in their judgment of allowing Fas to continue to play when he shouldn't have. |
I thought he said a kick up the bum not termination!
He has also apparently had the flu bad for a couple of weeks, just shows, when he was last playing plenty said he was a one trick show pony, he's come back in the back line, so not much chance of flashy goals, he's worked his arse off, and he's been great, maybe he got a taste of the sideline and decided he really wants out there. This injury is a real shame. For him and us I hope it's not too bad, I'm loving his game at the moment, he has some beautiful skills. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Of course stories get exaggerated by the media
The medics may have made a mistake or Fasolo may have wanted to keep playing after he first injured his toe and underplayed the injury.
Hope he gets better soon and its only a minor injury. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

I hate to break it to you Wokko (no pun intended) but technically there is no difference between a fracture and a break
A bony toe problem (ie. fracture) might put Fas out for 5 weeks or so but remember the turf toe that put Sandilands out for ages - let's just hope it's nothing serious, Fas surely deserves some luck on the injury front!

This sounds like a game of Chinese whispers. Are we talking about Buckley's post game interview? _________________ Be Staunch, Be Proud, Be Collingwood |

Buckley is a bit dirty on the medical staff because he wasn't properly informed of the nature of Fasolo's injury. In consequence, Fasolo stayed in the rooms for too long, neither allowed to come back on nor subbed out until part-way through the third quarter, meaning that we played a long time with only two on the bench. Making matters worse, no sooner was Fasolo subbed out than Young was injured, meaning that we had to play the remainder of the game with just two on the bench again.
The moon boot was just a precaution. Fasolo's injury is not severe: he has had consistent foot trouble, with his toe as well as with both navicular bones, but this time there is no break or fracture and Bucks believes that Fas will have next week off, then the bye, and be right to play the week after that. Bucks said that Fasolo's feet have been an ongoing problem and have required and will continue to require ongoing management. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Agreed, often prompting one to spurt an absolute avalanche of cuss words upon impact too |

A "stubbed toe" in Collingwood injury parlance could end up being 3-4 weeks on the sidelines. Let's hope there's nothing more to this one. _________________ Well done boys! |

Yah, just like there was no more to Molloy's foot injury which trainwrecked our forward line going into 2003 finals... |

Bucks said in an interview that scans cleared him of any breaks or stress fractures, would likely miss round 7 and then be right to resume after the bye. |

That's the latest scoop on Fasolo, with a side note about Dasher (Young) at the final paragraph of the story. |
like this? Quote: | "The scans showed no stress fracture in the sore foot, so really the sub was as precautionary as anything, it was called by the doc," Buckley said on ABC radio. |
Quote: | Young sustained a cork thigh during a collision with Bomber Paul Chapman on Friday, but indicated to media that he would not miss any games as a result of the knock. |
