Mark Stevens on Channel 7 reckons he might be out for a 'few weeks' but we're unaware of the extent of his toe injury.

It's a pity that he'll miss a few weeks especially since he's found form recently but at least we have plenty of players to choose from next week to replace him.

Toe injury? So, not a recurrence of his previous injury? That's a good thing, yeah?

http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/alex-fasolo-injury-sours-collingwood-comeback-20140425-zqznr.html

Quote:
Collingwood staged a stunning comeback to win an entertaining Anzac Day clash but the victory came at a cost, with Alex Fasolo suffering yet another injury.

Fasolo, playing just his fourth game after a season-ending second broken navicular bone in his foot last year, had to be substituted out of the game early in the third quarter and finished the match wearing a moon boot. He was sent for scans, but it is understood the injury is to a toe not the navicular.

Toes can be a bitch but if it's not a recurrence, that's promising news

Apparently the medics let Faz back on after he'd initially injured it in the 2nd term. Bucks has only found out the extent on the injury up until the 3rd, and he is not a happy man tonight. One journo asked him if it could result in the termination of some of the medics to which he responded "Possibly, yeah."

Yes I heard that as well. Bucks won't be a happy man tonight if it's found the medics have made a mistake in their judgment of allowing Fas to continue to play when he shouldn't have.

I broke a toe doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and was out for 8 weeks. If a tiny fracture became a break due to a medic's negligence then the Club should sue.

Jon Ralph said toe injury at most 5 weeks out. Compared the fears that it was the same foot injury that ended his season last year and was going to end it this year as well.

I'll take a 5 week toe injury (one of them a bye) to a re-fracture of the navicular any day of the week.
