dunno, Dave, I'll have to look at again but my 1st impression was that he had eyes on the ball and braced himself for impact.

Is that all you have to say, what did you think of his game?

Exactly.
Shouldn't warrant a second look, but you never know with chook lotto MRP.

He jumped just before impact, so if there was any head contact at all, he's in trouble.

^Ball was in dispute, jumped at the ball, braced for impact at the last second.
The only reason they'll look at it is because Chapman stayed down and went off.
I'd be staggered if it went any further.

If anyone STILL has any doubts about whether he's best 22 after today should seriously get their head checked. He and Pendles got us up in that 2nd qtr, absolutely smashed it across the middle at his attacking best. There is not a single player on our list who can bring what he brings to the table.

Great game by Young today and really surprised by him having 100% disposal efficiency today as well. He really stood up when it needed to happy most.

Young would have earned a lot of respect from his teammates and the supporters today. He definitely deserved to be in the GB Medal votes!

Problem is Young is built like a stick insect and ended up coming off second best and it will probably keep him on the sidelines with injury.

Still seeing the old bearded bald turd splattered over the ground was kind of worth it.

It may well have saved a goal as well.

Best 22.

Offers a handy point of difference to our one-paced midfield. The fact that he can actually kick the ball helps too.

Young's outside, but he's not soft. I've seen him go when it's his turn on more than just the one occasion...

Almost word for word what I wanted to add........

and went he did yesterday.

i liked the lad even when he was with that other mob and was pleased when we recruited him. was rapt with his game yesterday.

I should also add on top of what I said earlier was what a fantastic bump on Paul Chapman by Clinton especially at a crucial stage of the match when Essendon was desperately in need of a goal.

I hope his injury isn't too serious either but I've heard it's only one week on the sidelines apparently. Nevertheless we have plenty to choose from after many players in the VFL this week are vying for spots in the side for this week's match against Carlton.

Now I know why we went after him --- a great game today & here's to plenty more to come .

As for the posters who were calling him soft -- ????????????

Hope he's back to show us some more against the Filth who need to be put back in their place .

GO PIES
