He'll need every ounce of his newly found (hopefully) control when he takes the field... the sledging will be cutting for the lad... be hoping that he can hold his cool and not retaliate.

He's a lucky young man, but it is fantastic news!
What a boost for everyone. Let's get him fit and ready ASAP. |

Great news but he was never going to do any time. Pleading not guilty and going with the self defense angle only complicated things.
Look forward to him throwing his weight around at senior level in few weeks time. |

I would have thought at least a month worth of games would be required before he comes into contention for the seniors.
His running and hardness of the half back line is a prerequisite for us to challenge the best teams. Let's make sue he is absolutely ready to come back. |
Gary pert has said now it's over and once his frame of mind is right, onces he's gotten over the whole thing and when the medical staff and coaches think he is in a frame of mind to play, he will come back via the afl.
The lad is very fortunate and in all honesty with how hard WA take this kind of thing this is a great result. |

How would you sledge a player who's broken a bloke's jaw with a short arm jab? Can't imagine any player bothering. Somehow, I think he'll be ok. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Great result. Nice to hear Pert's comments after the sentence as well. It spoke highly of Marley's remorse and it's good to see how the club has supported him. The best thing for him now is to get back into playing. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |

Great news for Marley, he must be very relieved.
I reckon he'd need at least 3 or 4 games in the VFL before he's ready to be considered for AFL. Round 9 or 10, depending on when he plays his first VFL game, would be my guess. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

He has been training non stop and would have no niggling injuries. Would make a super sub. Suprise selection for ANZAC day. :D |

Assuming he's maintained his fitness, I expect he'll play 2 games in the VFL before resuming his spot in the seniors. He might return alongside Reid in 3 weeks time. Fantastic result. |

Great news- hopefully Marley realises how bloody lucky he was- and a few other young fellas realise that in the big bad world violence is never the answer.
Give him afew weeks to refresh- get his head right- ease him back in and having him ready to roll come mid year. |

His next hurdle is forcing Fas out of the side. |

Good point. Who'd of thought Marley would be competing with Fas for a defensive spot. Let's hope he finds it very very tough to get back into a steamrolling Pies team. _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |

Excellent news. Now he'll have to work hard for his spot. With the number of new defenders we've found and many still to return, he won't be an automatic selection, will need to show good VFL form first. _________________ Well done boys! |
