The head says one week at a time and 10-2 is unrealistic for the same reasons as others have posted.

The heart says go for it 10-2 is reasonable.

I hate threads like this. As Dave said, one week at a time!

We're still a young and developing side that's bound to have some poor weeks of football but so far I've been very pleased with the way things have played out since our poor performance in round 1. Without a doubt there's a lot to be excited about with this squad but we've got to be aware that they're a young side bound to have some 'down' weeks so to speak.

As long as the effort is there every week and we see continual improvement from our players and coach as well I'll be very happy. Really looking forward to this week's game against Essendon just for now and that's all we should be focusing on as a club consisting of the players, coaches and of course the supporters. I must say the heart will be racing this Friday that's for sure! Twisted Evil

Jezza is fast becoming my favourite poster.

Realistic, passionate, enthusiastic, optimistic but never bombastic.

It's all about the journey and Jezza is smart enough to see that and temper his expectations accordingly.

Keep it up mate.

On second thoughts, the OP's statement is impossible.

We have a bye in rd 8. Possibly we can be 10 and 2 at Rd 13. Wink

I think we needed a bit of optimistic banter and positive extrapolations after the poor start to the year and the negative projections of many...

Lets be real - before this thread was created I bet every single poster on this thread (that includes the heads down mantra men) and most pie supporters know who the Pies are playing the next 2 rounds and probably a fair few know what our draw is like after the bye also! Just because you have a bigger view/vision now and then does not mean you can't focus on the task at hand - you wax and wane - yin and yang if you like between the two all the time anything else is too extreme!

Speculation. dreaming and looking ahead is human nature - defy it if you like but I am not buying it...!

Its nice to be optimistic, but I am too much a suspicious hair loosing potato cake to make such statements.

If we are 10 and 2 I'll put on a Tony Armstrong mask and let Lazza mount me.

We could well be 10-2 after 12 rounds. So? Doesn't mean we wouldn't go 2-9 in the remainder.

We should absolutely look to win every game, but each game needs to be assessed on it's own merits both before and after. each one is a learning experience. The H&A season, while great in it's own right, really serves as the curtain raiser for the finals. We want to make the finals, we want to be in the best position we can and with the best list of healthy and inform players we can manage, to give ourselves the best shot at winning a flag.

Lets not get spooked or superstitious, there's a long way to go and anything can happen, so just buckle in and enjoy the roller coaster ride.

Oh, and Swoop.....

I'm not sure whether Lazza would be up for that (pun intended) but the photo needs to be posted here as proof that it occurred. Razz

I think we will struggle this week.
As well as our midfield is now playing and as well as our backs have been playing we are still a relatively inexperienced group in games played total and games played together.
Gonna expect ups and downs until we have our senior blokes up and running.
Expect essendon to be firing after last weeks game and the media comments so far this week.
