I'm absolutely pumped for this match! The team is in good form and very settled with its current side. Essendon on the other hand is out of form after seeing their last two matches and they seem to have some selection issues at the moment with some important players for them out of the side.

The thing that may stop us from winning today is Essendon's pace. So it's important early on that we make their pace a liability! However Essendon is missing crucial players in Goddard, Hocking, Bellchambers and potentially Jobe Watson if these rumours about him having gastro are true, so all those outs are massive and will give us a huge advantage. After seeing these missing players listed you'd have to be confident of a victory today!

I must say I'm quite confident of us performing well on the big stage today. I don't know whether that's a good or bad thing but I'm feeling very excited about the prospect of being 4-2 after today hopefully. We've come off a strong victory against North Melbourne where we tackled our hearts out and our overall ball usage improved from previous weeks. About 6-7 of our players will really need to perform today if they want to retain their spot in the side because demand for spots are increasing and after some good performances from the VFL that can only be a good thing. An unchanged line up is always a good sign of a settled and confident side, but pressure for spots will result in players attempting to have strong games to retain their spot in the side today.

This is a big day on the football calendar and for Australia in general so it's a privilege to play on this day every year. After a poor showing on ANZAC Day last year I hope the boys are breathing fire today! It's a beautiful sunny day, it's a Collingwood home game and we're in good form. What's not to be excited about.

Absolutely pumped and I have no doubts that both of these sides will want to start well so don't be surprised if it's even early on but I can see us having a breakout quarter and winning by a few goals.

Pies by 32 with Beams to win the ANZAC Day Medal for best on ground!

Heading off to the ground soon! Can't wait Smile

GO PIES! Very Happy

If we can cope with bombers pace early ( they have picked a very quick side) we will win well, if not it could get ugly

Yep, they have a very fast team.

Zac Merrett is a ripper. Extremely fast & a great kick. Better player than his brother.

I honestly think the Bombers are grossly overrated. They will struggle to make the 8 this year imo. Pies by 38 points.

This will be far from the walk over some are imagining.

Yes Goddard is missing but so is Reid so that cancels that one out.

Players like Hocking and Myers are a loss for them but with Winderlich and Dempsey returning it's negated for the most part.

Plenty of players in this Essendon line up are better than they have showed the previous two weeks and importantly they have a number of quick types that have caused us problems in the past.

Watson is playing.

No changes to either side.

Chapman is the one I am concerned about - I figure Toovey will get him and should be able do the job.
