I am not a huge Goldsack fan but I must admit I was impressed with his attack on the ball and while tackling on Friday night. I thought his pressure was instrumental in setting doubt into the Tigers players who preceded to fble and make poor decisions. That that element of our game was very important in setting up our win and Goldsack was front and centre as a contributor. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

With Norf beating the swans quite well, this now aint gonna be easy, that's for sure. But,we do have an extra two days rest, and now we know not to take these buggers easy, we are ready for them. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Beating Sydney in Sydney and Port a couple of weeks ago isn't easy, North are a decent side and we'll have a fight on our hands. I'm hoping the hard slog in the wet combined with a shorter break will make it hard for them! It will be interesting to see how 'good' North look against us, if we're on track then we should be able to pressure them and out work them and make them look ordinary (as Essendon did, and as we did to Richmond), of course if we're not on track then they'll look the goods and we'll be in trouble!!
Very important game as the early season form looks like there wont be as many teams fighting for a spot in the 8 as we thought, and perhaps North, Sydney, West Coast, Port and us will be fighting for the lower 4 spots in the finals (I'm giving Essendon 4th spot, dangerous before they play Freo but even with their injuries at this stage of the year I recon they look alright!)

Norf are pushing numbers back hard(flooding) and using the slingshot game plan to good effect, exactly the game plan we struggle with....if we cannot figure way to develop space within our 50, we will lose......
the roos are also becoming the biggest pack of divers in the league. |

WE are forewarned and forearmed, we are ready, we know it will be tough, I bet Bucks was in Sydney today, taking notes. We are ready for them, two days extra rest should really help us, we can do this one for sure. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I wouldn't worry about North next week. Sydney is sheer crap this season and the only reason we didn't beat them by more a couple of weeks ago was that we hadn't yet found our straps.
North's best player is still the oldest midget in the AFL. _________________ Rain or hail, I wag my tail |

Thing is Collie, aside from the bluescum, there are no really easy sides this season, all games will be tough, any side can beat any other -except boring hawks-on any given day. Tipping is hard, I had the saints easy over the crows, they got belted, dees over scum, norf easy over swans, dogs have improved too, and gold coast. I reckon we approach all games as if we are playing the hawks, be on our guard at all times, theres no easybeats now, the comp has tightened up a fair bit. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I've got a feeling this week, that with all the beat up work over Caff and his tagging tactics, that Cloke is going to get more than his fair share of frees and bad a whole heap of goals! _________________ Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, we want some Bayley! |
