This is a tough game, 50-50, and we will do well to get the four points.
North played well against the Swans, although as already stated they allowed a lot of inside 50's against.
I put last week's game in the same 50-50 category, and I was impressed with the improvement in blokes like Swan, Goldy, Ball, Beams, Sidey & White.
I hope we are building slowly towards what we are capable of, but no point getting to the end of 2014 and playing our best footy and not having won enough of the 50-50 games to do some damage in the finals.
The midfield can't be expected to kick 10 goals every week and Trav needs a decent game along with Blair (if he plays) & Harry.
Pressure for spots is coming, not based on the VFL form from last week, but through those that are coming back from injury (notice Scharenberg kicking and Reid doing laps at training).
Good game to win (as they all are) but I'm feeling confident. Go Pies. _________________ In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away |

This is really quite simple.
We won last week, we lose this week. It's what we do.
I wish I was wrong, but at least it bodes well for Anzac!!! _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

Blair, Ball, Adams and even Swan, currently, would make way before JT, if I was in charge, but the way I see it Adams and Ball are the ones vying for the same position. |
JT definitely adds pace, but of the burst kind. He's not an outside runner. As for his kicking, I wouldn't say that it's good. Middle of the road is a better description. Which is an improvement on a few blokes currently getting a game in the seniors, but still not exactly inspiring stuff.
Again, so long as Buckley insists on playing Blair, adding Thomas on top of Ball and Adams is too much of the same inside type. I agree that Thomas should be considered ahead of Blair, but I still don't have JT in my personal best 22 because, again, 3 specialist inside mids is overkill. |

JT's kicking shits all over Adams' as does his ability to free up hands in heavy traffic.
If Adams was to come in it should be at Blair's expense who's been living on borrowed time for some time now. |

They wont play Adams, Ball and JT in the same side surely?
Unless they drop Blair or Dwyer doesnt get a gig. _________________ We're always up to mischief! |

Like I wrote pre season, I reckon Adams needs time in the VFL to get settled into Collingwood game structures. He looks totally lost at the moment. |

Gee - if that is the case I will just buy half a membership next year and just go to the winning games. |

He hasn't had a go yet Lazza.
He was played as a winger in round one. It was experimental. Surprise, surprise, he isn't a natural wingman.
He then got two weeks as the sub. He was more than useful for a quarter in at least one of those games.
He then got rubbed out for a week.
I don't really know how you can describe a guy with this immediate history as looking 'totally lost at the moment'.
He needs a game at AFL level in which he plays a large percentage of the game as a ball-winning midfielder. _________________ they can smell what we're cookin' |

OK, how about a game at VFL level in which he plays a large percentage of the game as a ball-winning midfielder so that he can get his confidence and mojo back? Maybe these ARE the reasons he is looking lost on the field??? |
