I think their form is slightly better than ours over the past 2 weeks but we possibly have more scope for improvement. Whether we build on that or not not will determine the outcome. Our best footy should beat theirs. Pies, only just.

I'd be surprised if we will win today. I'm going, I'm hoping, I'll be barracking & if we do win then we are a damn fine side.

9 news last night reported he had a corkie and did not move well at training. He also left the training session early.

Having arrived back in Perth - 2 weeks driving south from Darwin via all the extant landscapery, as motor home co-driver with my cancer-recovering younger brother from Townsville, I feel it encumbent upon me to resume Nicking.

Now these farcking Shinboners, always thereabouts, and never forgiven for 1977 (http://www.theroar.com.au/2009/08/08/the-drama-of-1977/), renowned for a handy forward - Teasdale, who shuffled around the Piping Shrikes for a shortish period - and a cuppla others - Greig, Schimmelbush, Aylett, Blighty, etc.
But at end of day time - v. average. I mean just look at the Galloping Gasometer for chrissake! Michael was (just) trotting around at 135 kg in the day.

They offer a good tussle at times these pale blue vertically striped carnts, but out there today we shall prevail proudly - once more - trust me ...

This is going to be a hard match to tip as a neutral, but I think it's going to be a very close one today. If it rains in the afternoon then our small guys like Elliott and Blair may thrive in the conditions.

We need a strong start and the likes of Pendlebury, Beams and Swan need to have great games today and make the North Melbourne midfielders accountable. I feel that the battle will be won in the midfield today to be honest and that's good news considering Ziebell and Swallow won't be playing and if Wells is a late withdrawal then that will benefit us greatly. I have a feeling Macaffer will tag either Dal Santo or Harvey, but Harvey's leg speed might be a problem for Macaffer so I think he'll go to Dal Santo.

If we win today, we're doing a lot better than I expected from the start of the season to be honest. This is a crucial game because if we lose today then the pressure will be on Friday's game against Essendon.

Anyway I'm tipping a very close one. Heading off now.
