I reckon the monkey should be on the coaching staff. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Well, I'll be. It's finally happened. My very first Nicks 22. I'm honoured, teary and very very worried about our performance tonight!
It's only fitting that my inclusion should come as part of some mad new selection criteria but I tell you coach I wont let you down. I do my best work coming off half back and not really stopping, as such I usually get a rest courtesy of the MRP every for about 6 weeks every week or so. Best not to let me get the ball, very similar kick to Luke Ball at the moment actually, but I promise to bring mongrel to this side not seen since Banksy was tearing down a wing!
Also, congratulations on the lovely subtle inclusion of Born to Pie and Dr Pie, they'll fit into a selection based on numerical inclusion or one of many food groups...

Welcome Ben.
You are an inspiration to us all. 13 years on the list, lifting weights, running laps, sleeping through meetings, laughing at Stui, shouting at Jack Spain, knee surgery, foot surgery, brain surgery, endless hours in the rehab group watching younger players go past you, always last in line for the dim sim tray, but you hung in there old son, and tonight you finally get to strut your stuff on the biggest stage of all. It's a wet night and wet nights are all about and guts and putting your body over the ball. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the rev up coach! And I credit you for my fine performance tonight! At least 5 times I got within a metre of smashing Cotchin - I'll get him next time I reckon - and at half time, and a couple of times in the last quarter, I was FIRST inline for the then cold dim sims and a pie. I got some funny looks from the fans at the G for pushing in but hey, I had a game to play!

Those who played tonight - Well-played and this is coming from someone who's bitter about his exclusion for this match!

So Tannin decided to wear the yellow & black last night & coach the opposition or did Hardwick steal Tannin's little red book on how to coach AFL footlball? _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Huge selections problems next week. The Numbers side - let's be honest here and face it - wasn't a seconds side, these guys were playing thirds at best. But thirds or not, they played their arses off and cracked up our best win of the season. How can you drop anyone after a win like that? On the other hand, how can we leave out champions like Think Positive and Piesnchess, or well-performed and impressive youngsters like Albert Parker and Stupied? And just to make the selection puzzle harder, we have the two brilliant but wayward brawlers Lazza and Jackass coming off suspension after their fight, and one or two noted quality veteran players not mentioned so far - I'm thinking of the knotorious nuckleheads here - who have recovered from interrupted pre-seasons and more than deserve a run.
I'll lay this on the line, Nicksters, selection next week is a lottery. I have around 50 players worthy of a game, and only 22 spots on field. I don't know how I'm going to solve this. Perhaps the first thing I should do is drink heavily. Would selection night be easier with a hangover? Or maybe I should seek the help of some other fancy chemicals? Small, unmarked envelopes to the usual address please. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |
